Bye 2012.Welcome 2013..

The final moments of year 2012..

A year which saw people getting fed up with corruption and crimes against women..

Hope, we as a Nation, does not slide back to our customary laziness..

If we don't keep vigil, 2013 could see a repetition of many of the ugly occurrences of 2012..

Let's make our Country safer for our women..

If our fellow human beings are not safe and if they keep on getting attacked by certain monsters, then there is no point in saying that we are a civilized society..

Let's do every thing possible to isolate and destroy such monsters..

Let's also look at why our society keeps producing such monsters..

Let's all do what we can do and and let's all pray for a good year ahead for good people..

Arrogance of power

Uttar Pradesh minister  Azam Khan, infamous for his short temper, allegedly thrashed a coach attendant in a speeding train and made him do sit-ups for supplying him ‘dirty’ bedrolls."

While the coach attendant Nirmal Murmu, a resident of West Bengal, suffered cuts and a swollen arm, the  minister dismissed the incident as chhoti-motti baat, one of the trivial things that “keep on happening every now and then”.

According to reports, Murmu filed a complaint with the railway police at Amritsar station.
He alleged that the UP minister for urban development Azam Khan, who was travelling in the first AC coach of Howrah-Amritsar Mail from Lucknow to Rampur on Wednesday, summoned him as soon as the train left the station. He rebuked Murmu for providing him ‘dirty’ bedrolls."

“When I said this was what we had, the minister started thrashing me. He also made me do sit-ups,” Murmu complained. Khan got down at Rampur later in the evening.

When asked about the incident, Azam Khan was unrepentant and unperturbed.

“Pata nahin kiski shaan mein gustakhi ho gayee. Aisi chhoti-motti baat hoti rehti hai.” (I don’t know whom I wronged. Such trivial incidents keep on happening.)

Earlier also, the Samajwadi Party leader has displayed aggressive behaviour.
A few months ago at a public function, he called policemen  'middlemen’.

Once he termed a senior official ill-mannered while rebuking him in public.

The municipal commissioner’s post in Lucknow remained vacant for several days only because no official was ready to work under him.

“Khan can say anything and no harm will come to him,” said a senior official from his ministry.
                                                Coutesy : DeccanHerald.

This is called the arrogance of power.Politicians are supposed to be public servants!!
But the way these politicians are behaving, it seems like they are all kings whom the public should be treating as God's, unless ofcourse if there is an election round the corner..!

Bachans about Delhi gang rape

Amitabh Bachan tweeted strongly about the Delhi gang rape incident..

His wife and Rajya Sabha member broke down while speaking about the incident inside the parliament..

People in public domain should express their views strongly against incidents like these..

So it's good that Mr and Mrs Bachan did what they could do..

But hold on, did they do what they could ??

Mrs.Bachan is a member of Samajwadi Party, the party which is ruling in Uttar Pradesh, where normally under the SP rule, it's a muscle power rule. There are many SP VIPs who have got serious criminal charges against them including murder, rape, loot etc..

SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is a personal friend of the Bachans..

When this is the case, why on earth they are not asking Mr.Mulayam to drop the whole host of rape accused leaders in the Samajwadi Party..

That's the basic minumum the Bachans could do, if the anger and sorrow they expressed for the Delhi rape victim is genuine..

If Mulayam does not hear them, Mrs.Bachan should resign from the party..

Can the Bachans do this ???

Don't give empty statements, do what you could do..

Joke of the Day

Congress has done well in the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat and it has won in places where party general secretary Rahul Gandhi had campaigned, information and broadcasting minister Manish Tewari said. "We have done well, therefore, obviously, I think if anyone has the reason to celebrate it is the Congress party," Tewari said in New Delhi.

"Interestingly, I think it must be understood that in all the 12 or 13 constituencies in which Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, if my information is correct, Congress has won all those and that too by a very convincing margin," he said.
Hahaha....good comic relief!!

The question is if Congress really believes in what Mr.Tiwari is saying, then why on earth Mr.Rahul Gandhi did not campaign in more places !!

They were hiding him..And he made only a token appearance in Gujarat..

Remember the story of the day is : BJP lost in Himachal Pradesh due to the anti-incumbency vote against their government there and won in Gujarat to the pro-incumbency vote and pro-Modi vote.

The voting was pro-Modi in Gujrat and anti-incumbency in Himachal.Could not find any indication of a positive voting for the Congress party any where...

Winning 3rd time in a row is no mean achievement, instead of conceding this fact, saying things as if the listeners are fools is not doing any good to the Congress party..!!

Grow up..

People are not fools, don't try to make yourself a bafoon by saying things like "I think if anyone has the reason to celebrate it is the Congress party"..!!

Carry-on and please celebrate your continued big losses in Gujarat :)

Delhi's shame..

A 23 year old girl gang raped in a moving bus in Delhi..

Girl's condition critical.Prayers are with her..

About those who did this heinous crime - these are the sort of crimes for which we probably need to go the taliban way..

These criminal rapists should be stoned or beaten to death or should be lined-up publically and shot from toe to head..

Or the better punishment for these animals would be - cut their instrument and make them live for a few years and then kill them !!

Being a civilized Country, this sort of punishment cannot be meted out in India..

So the minimal punishment that should be given to these criminals is -DEATH PENALTY..

There are lot of noises in TV channels; Parliament has expressed the customary SHOCK..

Politicians are shedding crocodile tears..

Police is acting as if this is a very rare one-off incident !!

There are protests on the streets by various organizations..

NHRC has woken-up and has issued notice to the Government and Delhi police..

Go to hell with these steps..

Amend the Constitution and make rape an offense meriting death penalty..
Don't want any thing else..

This has gone too far..

Too many such cases but not too many getting punished..

And that's leading to a sort of fearlessness in carrying on with such horrendous crime by human dogs..

shri hafeez saeed

Shri hafeez saeed !!!

That's how our very Honorable Home Minister Mr.Sushil Kumar Shinde referred to pak terrorist hafeez saeed.

Not sure from where the Congress party manages to get people like Shinde and Shivraj Patil (who was Home Minister before Chidambaram) to look after internal security of our Nation.

Nothing more to say..

Just SHAMEFUL !

Referring a mass murderer as 'shri'...

What probably Mr.Shinde or Shri Shinde can do is to invite his honorable friend "shri" saeed to India as a state guest and give him padmashree and then refer to him as Padmashree hafiz saeed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phew....

Communist Double Standards !!

Communist parties are against FDI (Foreign Direct Investment).

Because they say, it will take away jobs (??) of small scale retail shoppers.

But then what about this ?

http://www.firstpost.com/economy/china-effect-noidas-manufacturing-units-are-shutting-shop-554372.html?utm_source=editorpick&utm_medium=article_politics

The cheap imports from China, which is hurting the Indian manufacturing industry.Do any party member have the guts to ask for a stoppage of cheap goods from China ??

Probably not, since even their basic ideology is imported from China (As some one said FDI = Foreign Direct Ideology).

The strange irony is these people even opposed computers when it was first introduced in India.
Even tractors !!

Some where there seems a mismatch !!

A party which cannot have at the minimum level a 'desi' ideology and has imported it, is opposing every other things that's foreign...

Yes, ofcourse, if it's from China, they have no problem...!!!!!

Indian cricket team's continued poor performance

High time there is a rethinking on Dhoni's captaincy..

He is useless as a test captain. He is more concerned about pitches..

He wants turning track for test matches in India..

Funny thing is, India won the 1st test, but he blasted the pitch saying it does not suite the Indian team as it was not a turner..

The next 2 test matches he demanded and got turning tracks, he won the toss as well, still it's the England team who won. That too very convincingly.
India just about managed to avoid innings defeat in both the tests..!!

His failure as a test captain can easily be assessed by the mere fact that he does not know that the current team he has does not have good spinners who could exploit turning tracks and it also does not have batsmen who could score runs on turning tracks..

May be the performance of the team against England in the ongoing test series is a reflection of his negative thinking..

Team selection also does not seem correct.Yuvraj Singh is not a player whom you will select to play on turning tracks..

But then, it's a complete team failure and this team probably qualifies as the worst Indian test team India had for a very long long time..

Nobody has performed, be it the experienced Sachin Tendulkar or the talented youngsters like Virat Kohli..
India  and probably Sachin is missing the comfort of having a Rahul and VVS Laxman in the batting line-up..

Earlier, even when India looses abroad, there was always the comforting feeling that we are tigers at home and can beat every team in India..
Home tigers has now become rats..!!
The team is running away like rats, they don't know in which hole they can bury their head, due to these shameful performances..

God knows, if English spinner Monty Panesar had played the 1st test, this series would have been a 4-0 whitewash..!!!

What ever it is, it looks like Dhoni has gone way beyond his expiry date as India's test captain..
He is too negative in his thinking and defeats are piling up under him..

Time for fresh thinking at the top..

Dialogue stolen by Mamata Banerjee

"The Central government wants that we die of hunger. But as long we are in power in the state, we will not let that happen. We may be poor, but not beggars" West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is quoted as saying in a rally in Purulia district.

Copyright violation..This dialogue originally belong to Late Malayalam superstar Mr.Jayan.

:)

His dialogue was :

Maybe we are poor.coolies.trolley pullers.but we are not beggars!! You enjoy this status in life because of our sweat and blood. Let it be the last time; if you dare to say that word once more, I will pull out your bloody tongue!!!!

Ponting retires...

Australia's greatest batsman, after Don Bradman, Ricky Ponting retired from test cricket today.

Sad part for him is that Australia lost the test to South Africa by a massive 309 runs at Perth.
Any way, that does not take away his enormous contribution to Australian cricket and to the game of cricket as a whole.

He was a great player and a good captain.Probably having a very good team helped him to have a good captaincy record.

In his post-retirement press conference, he is reported to have nominated Sachin Tendulkar as the greatest player he has played against. It's a nice gesture from Ponting.

Hope Tendulkar who is practicing hard for the eden gardens test match against England, will get some confidence from Ponting's comments :|

Kejriwal's party invites corrupt Bengal leader to party

Nothing can get more ironical than this. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of Arvind Kejriwal and his fellow crusaders against corruption has decided to rope in a leader, who is accused of endless charges of corruption, to strengthen its presence in West Bengal.

The leader is former CPI(M) MP from Arambag Anil Basu who was expelled by his party for indulging in anti-party activities.

Once a party strongman, Basu is accused in the Sainbari murder case of 1970, factionalism, breach of discipline, a medicine purchase scam. The man also allegedly changed his real name of Manik Roy to evade law. He was suspended for three months initially for indulging in corruption but later was expelled for attacking the party's top leadership. The man, however, is in a dilemma on responding to AAP's call for he has been trying hard to return to his old party.

The anti-Basu factions in the CPI(M) in Hoogli district from where he hails are strongly objecting to his comeback and if Basu indeed fails to make it, the AAP can be an alternative option for him. Basu, who won the 2004 Lok Sabha election by nearly six lakh votes which is a record, has admitted that Kejriwal's team contacted him although he is still to take a final decision.

Praising the AAP for including honest people in its camp, Basu said he is yet to understand the new party's mode of functioning and has sought information on that aspect. However, it is not people like Basu who are the real concern. The question is: Is this how Kejriwal and his team aim to fight corruption? By roping in accused and discarded leaders from other parties? What about corruption in non-Congress and non-BJP states? That the Kejriwalist brand of politics is a paralysed one is proved by this move of the AAP in West Bengal.

The party's fight is mainly against the two national parties, namely, the Congress and BJP. Kejriwal's series of exposes have been mainly directed against members of either of these two national parties. There is hardly any new line of thinking to fight corruption in states where none of these two parties are in power. The AAP's political activism is mainly confined to the circles in and around Delhi. It has virtually no idea about how the political complexes look like in other parts of the country, for example, in West Bengal, where it has sought cooperation from an utterly corrupt leader to fight against corruption.

Does the AAP's idea of anti-corruption crusade basically mean an anti-establishment crusade? In Bengal, where neither the Congress nor the BJP are in a position of power, who will the AAP target while mobilising the Aam Aadmi? The Mamata Banerjee government? Whatever be its plan, the AAP will commit a political harakiri if it tries in take on Mamata Banerjee in Bengal with the help of a dumped CPI(M) leader.

It is also clear that the AAP has not done any homework before taking a step towards making India corruption-free. It was expected that political naivete of the AAP will be exposed the moment it embarks on a decentralisation drive for top-down political ventures never work that way.

Exposing corrupt politicians before the media time and again is one thing while getting into the real world of political complexities is something else.

The AAP's judgement to include a leader like Anil Basu in its fight against corruption in Bengal not only reveals how uninformed the crusaders really are outside the circles of the national capital region but also makes its entire plan to uproot corruption look ineffective.
News CoUrtesty : news.oneindia.in

If this is true, this should not be a surprise.Especially since, when allegations were raised against his associates like Mr.Prashant Bhushan, Kejriwal had announced an internal Lokpal !!

Almost the same way, RSS asked it's own man Mr.Gurumurthy to give good certificate to their nominee Mr.Nitin Gadkari.

Any way people who had great expectations from Kejriwal would be extremely disappointed with this news...

Anil Kumble on Sachin Tendulkar

So much has been said and written about Sachin Tendulkar over the last quarter of a century, about his contributions to Indian and world cricket, about what a great ambassador of the game he has been, and about his longevity. I personally feel whatever praise and adulation has come Sachin's way is well deserved, because there simply isn't, and will never be, another cricketer like him.

Sachin was the 187th Indian to play Test cricket. The last debutant for India was R. Vinay Kumar, No. 274. If I am right, nearly 60% of the 87 players who made their Test debut for India after Sachin have already retired from the game. That, to me, is the perfect illustration of the desire, hunger and commitment that have driven Sachin to turn out match after match, and perform more often than he has failed.

He broke in to the Indian team when only 16, and for 23 years, he has carried not only the team on his shoulders but also the expectations of a billion people. He has done that in style and without fuss, taking all challenges in his stride and never shying away from a contest.

I made my debut two series after Sachin, and for a long time in our careers, we had similar challenges. The general consensus even in his early days was that Sachin would go on to become not just the best Indian batsman ever but also the best batsman in the world, the scorer of the most runs and hundreds in Tests and One Day Internationals, the holder of all records imaginable. That was the expectations he had to face as a teenager, and he has proved everyone right.

I was branded someone who wasn't ideal for Test cricket, who could at best be a restrictive One-Day bowler. My challenge, therefore, was to prove people wrong, and I was fortunate enough to do that in my own way. I have been retired for four years now, but Sachin is still going on, and for the first time in his career, he is faced with a similar challenge to mine—that of proving everyone wrong. And I am confident he will succeed just like he has done over so many years.

For the first time, people are questioning his place in the team. The expectations are that he should retire because his performances over the last year or so haven't matched the standards he has set over the previous 22 years. Yes, we have not seen the best of Sachin in this phase, but it is not just him alone. If you look at the overall picture, the team has struggled in Test cricket, so are we suggesting that India are still a one-man army, still totally dependent on Sachin? I think not.

It used to be so for a long time, make no mistake. But once people like Rahul, Sourav, Laxman and Sehwag came in, the pressure on Sachin the individual was shared by the others. That was one of the major reasons for the success of the Indian team because the other batsmen rallied around him. But even though the Indian batting is no longer just about Sachin, I can state with certainty that every opposition discusses him at length, he continues to be a massive wicket. Teams know that he can come good any time and they know what damage he can do once he gets going, so oppositions treat Sachin with the same regard today as they did one year back, I don't see that as having changed.

Sachin's contribution extends beyond the field of play. It's about what he has been to Indian cricket, to world cricket, and about how many people he has inspired with his deeds and his conduct. He certainly is not young anymore and has been through a whole lot of injuries but, every time, he has come up trumps. He has managed his body, the pressure and the expectations of a nation with a finesse that is all too rare, and he has done that for the last 23 years—that's why he is so revered and admired. I am sure he and we would like to see that Sachin now.

But he is like any other player in that from time to time, everyone goes through a tough phase. This is the time when you need to give him space for him to think about what he needs to rectify rather than put all kinds of negative thoughts in his mind. People are asking if it is time for him to go. That's a question people ask in India when you cross 30; the only difference is that in Sachin's case, it has come at 39. But just four innings back, before the start of the England series, he made a hundred for Mumbai against Railways in the Ranji Trophy.

I know you can't compare a first-class attack with the English attack, but that century showed that he still has the hunger, the drive and the focus. I am sure when he was batting for Mumbai, the thought of people pressuring him to retire was not there. But possibly when he walks into the Test arena, this is what he has had to encounter. This is the time for him to be left alone. He is such a great player that he doesn't need anyone else's advice on how to score runs. He just needs people to back off and allow him to work out what he needs to return to run-scoring ways, which I am confident he will.

The performances and the mindset of the Indian team are not helping Sachin, either. India have won just three Tests in the last year, all at home, which probably has magnified his failures. But he is not your regular No.4 batsman. He has been synonymous with the Indian team, with cricket, and people have taken up cricket because of him. When you have all these attributes, you can't dismiss him and his contributions on the back of a couple of poor performances. It might be easy to sit at home and say emotion should be set aside and decisions should be made only on the back of cold logic, but given the emotions that have accompanied Sachin's journey, that is unrealistic.

At 39, it's more of a mental battle for a batsman while it is always a physical grind for a bowler. Physical fitness is paramount, of course, but the mind needs to be fresh and it doesn't help when the mind is bogged down by negative thoughts implanted by extraneous forces. The only issue with age is that no matter how fit you are, the recovery gets tougher and takes longer. But knowing Sachin for this long, I can say that he is exceptionally tough mentally and still does every physical routine to prepare himself for every Test. He has followed a fantastic work ethic. In all my years of playing and watching the game, I haven't seen anyone else adapt to conditions better or faster than Sachin.

For 23 years, he has helped people dream, he has made them feel better emotionally. More's the reason why we need to give him his emotional space now. There have been instances when he has been the sole reason for India's wins, but he has never been the sole reason for India's losses. It's best to leave it to him to deal with what is in front of him now, because no one else has been in his position. No one else has played 192 Tests, made 34,000 runs, or scored 100 centuries. Let's not jump the gun, let's give the man the respect he deserves.

Does the RSS has some thing to hide ?

Is the RSS a silent partner in BJP president Nitin Gadkari's all illegal shell company dealings???

Or does Mr.Gadkari knows some ugly secrets about the RSS or it's leaders, which if releaved will be highly damaging to the RSS??

Seems so, if one go by their complete support to him..

There are serious corruption charges against Mr.Gadkari..

Mr.Gadkari insulted Swami Vivekanada by comparing His IQ to India's most wanted terrorist dawood ibrahim..

Not a single RSS leader reacted to that strange comparison, atleast no reaction was forthcoming publicly.!!

There is virtually a revolt in the BJP over Gadkari's continuation as the party president..

Still what does RSS do? It assigns it's own man Mr.S Gurumurthy to give a certificate of being non-corrupt to Gadkari !!

It could also be that the RSS leaders are so arrogant that come what may, they don't want to change the person whom they 'helicoptered into the party president-ship chair'..!!

What ever it is, current situation is not doing the BJP or it's remote control, the RSS any good..

Continued shockers from Kerala

In yet another shocker, police in Kerala have arrested a man on charges of sexually abusing his two minor daughters for the past two years.

The plight of the two girls -- aged 13 and 15 -- came to light following a complaint by the man''s wife, police said.

The man, a hotel employee, arrested near Kadurthuruthi in Kottayam district yesterday, has been charged under sections 376 (rape) and 377 (unnatural offences) of the IPC.

The mother, who had just returned from work, was informed by the crying girls about the assault after which she informed the police.

The incident comes close on the heels of a similar incident from Dharmadom in Kannur district where a 13-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by her father, 15-year-old brother and an uncle for nearly two years. All the three have been arrested.

Kerala Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said in Thiruvananthapuram that police had been asked to conduct a thorough probe into both the cases and bring the culprits to book without delay. Reports - msn.com.

Not sure what's happening in 'God's own Country'..
The so-called 100% literacy and the claimed high living conditions, does not seem to have a positive impact on moral values..

Cases such as these seems to be getting reported like routine stories..
Because of the sheer number of such cases being reported, people have sort of got used to hearing these sort of horror shockers..

Is death penalty enough punishment for the devils who commit these sort of crimes ??

If yes, hope our judicial system can give them that, so that atleast the fear of punishment, hopefully, act as a deterrent...hmmmm

India China should forget past !!

China and India should get over the "unfortunate incidents" of the past relating to their festering border issue and open a new page in relations as soon as possible, Li Junru, a top Chinese expert is quoted as saying..

Well, as long as China continues to show Arunachal Pradesh as part of its territory and claims Sikkim, J&K as disputed territory, India China relationships will never be good.

China also continues to arm pakistan..

China is still holding huge areas of Indian territory they captured during the 1962 war..

China continues to suppress the Tibetan people..

Leave alone friendship, India should be very careful with China, never know when they will stab us from behind..

Never trust China!

Thackeray terror haunting Mumbai even after his death

As the controversy over late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray's memorial rages on, a large number of Shiv Sainiks are guarding the place at Mumbai's Shivaji Park where the leader was cremated. Shiv Sainiks have also put up barricades at the cremation ground and declared that Bal Thackeray's memorial should be built there.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut called the memorial an emotional issue and also warned the Maharashtra government. Shiv Sena activists threatened that building a Thackeray memorial was a matter of faith and they would neither listen to the state government nor obey any court orders.

Several Shiv Sena activist and leaders have been paying homage at the cremation site where a temporary structure has already been put up. Party leaders have made it clear that they would not allow the structure to be moved away from the spot, indicating that the Shiv Sena is standing firm on it.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut called the memorial an emotional issue and also warned the Maharashtra government.

The state government has assured the Shiv Sena that the issue will be resolved through negotiations. On the other hand, the Maharashtra government is walking a tightrope in the face of Shiv Sena'a stand. The Maharashtra government is trying to solve the controversy through discussion. But sources say that even Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil knows that finding a solution to the issue is not so easy.

The question is will Shiv Sena take a step backward? Will the party agree to construct Thackeray's memorial at some other place? If it does not agree then what will the Maharashtra government do?

While the Shiv Sena has been adamant on constructing a Thackeray memorial at Shivaji Park, the government is equally determined to not let the party have its way. --Reports CCN IBN.

Bal Thackeray, when he was alive was a very divisive figure. He and his party's stand on our fellow Indians from other states is well known.

After his death, his party wants to gain maximum political mileage from his death. What else explains this 'Memorial Politics', which started the day he was laid to rest !!

They are even saying they won't obey court orders !!
Say, if the Supreme Court says that the memorial should not be at Shivaji Park, will these people go and attack Supreme Court ??

Are these thugs above the law of the Country ??

A memorial for some body is normally a place of respect, and it's not build by threatening and extortion..
When will this lunatic fringe called 'the shiv sena' understand this ??

People should respect because they have RESPECT and LOVE..
Not because of FEAR of violence..

Wishing Sachin Tendulkar all the very best in the remaining 2 test matches against England..

Hope and pray that he can make significant contributions and the team as a whole performs well and India wins..

Not seen an India loss as embarrassing as what we saw  in the last test, especially playing in India on a spinning track..

So hope the team rectifies the mistakes and plays well and erase the bad memories..

Kejriwal on our strange double-standards

Arvind Kejriwal is quoted as saying that jawans and farmers should be given priority and said the family of a jawan should be given at least Rs 1 or 2 crore if he dies fighting for the nation.

"If a person scores century in cricket, he is given Rs 1 crore or 2 crore. I am not saying they should not be given, but Army jawans should also be given money," he said.

Kejriwal is absolutely right here..

It's time we recognize our real heroes and show more concern and care for the families of our beloved soldiers..

I think the National media should highlight such statements of Kejriwal more instead of concentrating on trivial things about him..

Indian Cricket Team performance - Questions..

When is the last time you saw Dhoni scoring a 50 in a test match ??

When is the last time you saw English spinners bowling better than Indian spinners ??

When is the last time you saw English batsmen batting much better than Indian batsmen in India on spinning tracks ??

When is the last time you saw Sachin Tendulkar batting like a tail-ender, especially when batting against a spinner ??

When is the last time you saw India winning the toss on a spinning track and were almost on the verge of loosing by an innings ??  (Note : Match ongoing.Innings defeat averted)..

When is the last time you saw an Indian captain, even after getting a win in the 1st test, demanded a spinning track for the next test and lost the match ??

Perform or Retire Tendulkar

I am a great fan of Sachin Tendulkar. And I will always be..

But watching him play these days - is very painful..

He is a shadow of the Great Batsman he was.His batting, for the last many series, more or less resembles a tail-ender's batting.

In the current test series between India and England, Tendulkar had absolutely no clue on how to play English Spinner Monty Panesar..

The way he batted, I don't think even he thought he could survive even one over of Panesar !!!

His batting has been extremely poor for the last many months - be it in ODI's, tests or when batting for Mumbai Indians..

The concern is that - He does not seem concerned..
Many times repeating the same mistakes..
A general lack of focus on the game..
I am an outsider, I may be wrong in saying these things..
But as an Indian Cricket Team supporter and a great fan of Sachin , I do feel some change in Sachin's attitude, which is not a positive one..

I doubt whether he is giving any thought as to how much damage his batting in the last few tests is doing to his reputation..

People say age has caught-up with him..

What I think is happening is that he seems to have lost focus..
Him accepting an offer to be a Rajya Sabha member when he is still an active player was AMAZING to say the least. He should have waited till his retirement before accepting such an offer..

He is picking and choosing ODI matches he want to play..
Some where down the line probably a little bit of arrogance or carelessness has crept into his mind, unconsciously, which is having an adverse impact on his performance..

By picking and choosing games and not being fully focused on Cricket, he is unintentionally showing disrespect to the game of cricket..
Sorry to say this..

It's now time for him to rethink..

Either refocus and apply fully and play with as much dedication as he has shown all these years or gracefully retire and give way to some youngsters..

Sorry Sachin..

Never thought I will write some thing like this..
I just watched you getting out to Panesar in the 2nd test between India and England (which is ongoing while I type this)..

Probably I am writing this more out of frustration seeing you batting the way you are these days. It's very painful watching you bat these days, SACHIN..

You are one of the greatest sportsmen India has ever produced. To see you struggle like mere mortals is distressing.

Hope you will be back in form the next test.. Else.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Deaths are normally not meant to be celebrated or hailed..

But the hanging today of ajmal amir kasab, the lone Mumbai terrorist captured, has made the people of India happy..

166 people - innocent civilians and security personnel - were killed in that attack on Mumbai 4 years ago..

May be the more apt word is relieved..

Relieved that justice is finally done.Atleast partially.Ofcourse, the main masterminds of that attack are still roaming around freely in pakistan..

kasab was in jail for 4 years and our Country was spending huge amount of money for his security..
Any way, it's apt that he was given a chance to go through our judicial process..

Only sour point was - some of the celebrations were a bit extreme. You don't need to fire crackers and celebrate a death, even if it's of your enemy. We have punished him for his heinous crime. And the chapter as far as kasab is closed. That should have been it.

Any way, it's understandable, why people reacted the way they did..
Finally, we were able to punish a terrorist !!

We should do some introspection and ensure that we are more adequately prepared to prevent situations like what we faced in Mumbai..
Never trust pakistan..We, Indians should always remember this..That's the first thing..

This is not the time to score political brownie points.Hopefully political parties would refrain from doing so..
This is also a time to remember those brave Indians who laid down their lives fighting that fateful day..

arresting girls for facebook posts !!

Arresting young girls for innocent facebook posts....

This would not have happened any where in the world, even under the worst dictators..

India, the largest democracy in the world, has earned this unique distinction by arresting two girls for facebook posts..

The post was some thing like - Mumbai should not be shutdown, people like Bal Thackrey die every day..

Is this some thing that demands arrest of 2 girls????

Shameful...

Maharastra government & Mumbai police should explain this high-handedness.

Shiv Sena, whose party supremo was Bal Thackrey, instead of mourning his death, demanded the arrest and is justifying the arrest.

Shiv Sena was by the goons, for the goons and even in grief believes in goon-daism..

musharraf in India again

musharraf in India..hmm..

he says he did not regret the flopped Kargil treacherous  attack by pak, which was planned, master-minded and implemented by him, when he was at the helm of pak army.

We need to remember that Kargil intrusion happened when India pak peace talks were going on..

he also says Kashmir is a disputed territory and hence the cause of terrorism.!

he said these on Indian soil..!!!

he also gives lectures on how to achieve peace..Yes, on how to achieve PEACE.!

Really funny, coming from the mouth of a person who back-stabbed India when India pak peace talks were going on.

In my opinion, the co-ordinators of Hindustan Times Leadership summit should be charged with sedition for inviting to India, a man who betrayed, cheated, attacked our Motherland.

Even though we succeded in defeating his evil designs, we had to sacrifice many of our Great Soldiers.

Irony is, this creature, who ruled pak for about 8 years, cannot enter his country and is living in exile in London and Dubai, but he is welcomed in India, as a guest speaker in a so-called leadership summit..

What sort of a leader is he, when he can't even enter his own country!!
Defies logic...

Hindustan Times management might be great admirers of his leadership.

Indian govt also should answer why they allowed this creature to put his ugly foot on our soil again..

Hindustan Times and the Governmet of India should enlighten us as to for what purpose they invitied this fugitive to India - only to hear him dish out anti-India statements ???

Every body else knows from earlier experiences that whenever this fellow came to India, he looked to score points and be in the good books of pak terror leadership by mouthing anti-India statements..

There is a limit to the insults showered on our Kargil martyrs..
Remember HT and Indian Govt...

Gadkari to lead anti-corruption protests

BJP will march to the PM's house under the leadership of Nitin Gadkari to protest against "rampant corruption" by United Progressive Alliance government and Congress.

A very good plan.A plan at the right time at the right place led by the right person..

The most eligible person, right now, in BJP, to lead a protest march against 'RAMPANT CORRUPTION' is one and only Mr.Nitin Gadkari, the dashing Purthi Group fame - BJP president..

When he leads the protest, hope Mr.'CleanChit Flip-flop Gurumurthy', will be walking with him side-by-side.

Experience matters in these sort of activities.Mr.Gadkari has vast personal experience in corrupt practices.

He can educate people about the loopholes he used..

It's very sad that BJP's Karnataka Gadkari, Mr.Yedyurappa is going to leave BJP and create a new party.
BJP will surely loose out on his experience in making money from corrupt under-dealings, down south..

It seems EX-BJP president Mr.Bangaru Laxman is out on jail.Hope party uses his talent and experience and requests him to lead a protest march to Mrs.Sonia Gandhi's residence..

That will be a nice gesture also - by the BJP..

Cheteshwar Pujara - Congrats..

Congrats to Cheteshwar Pujara for scoring a double ton today against England. His 2nd 100.

If he plays the same way in away tests as well, then India could well have found the replacement for Rahul Dravid. But it's a big shoes to fill-in.

Pujara has started well. All the best to him.

Congrats to cancer-comeback Yuvraj as well for scoring 74 runs.Hope he can fill the void created by Laxman's retirement..

Sachin Tendulkar failing once again is a concern.Hope he gets back to run scoring form..

Hope India wins this test..
Ultimately that is what matters..

Congress Party preparations for 2014

News...

"
Congress Party has started preparing for the Lok Sabha elections, kick-starting even the process of picking the candidates, senior leader Digvijay Singh said on Sunday.

"

Well, I suppose the people of India are also eagerly waiting for 2014 elections :)

They are not eagerly waiting to know who will be the candidates !!

Last time, Congress Party contested saying - 'congress ka hath aam admi ke sath'..ie., congress' hand is for common man.

Only problem was that after the last elections - till now - congress used it's HAND to hit aam admi on his face..

Insulting Swami Vivekanada

Feels sad for BJP..

They have a party president who has an IQ which makes him to say that The Great Swami Vivekananda's IQ and terrorist dawood ibrahim's IQ level is same.

What is the instrument the BJP president Mr.Nitin Gadkari used to measure the IQ of Swami Vivekananda, hope he reveals.

It will be interesting to see what that instrument says about the IQ level of Mr.S Gurumurthy and the RSS top leadership, which thought of fooling the people by giving a clean chit to Mr.Gadkari, when the existing evidences in the public domain suggests otherwise.!!

RSS, which prides itself as the self appointed guardian of Indian culture has not said a word about the unbelievable insult of one of our Greatest National Icons - Swami Vivekananda...

For Mr.Gadkari's utterances and corrupt dealings, RSS is equally responsible, because it's the RSS which forcefully appointed Gadkari as the BJP president..

RSS has shamefully reduced itself to being a front organization that covers up an individual's corrupt methods..

VERY SHAMEFUL INDEED..

competitive anti-corruption-ism

Anna Hazare formed a new anti-corruption group today..

Hoping to see competitive anti-corruption-ism in the days ahead between anti-c team led by Anna and the one led by  Arvind Kejriwal..!!

This time it seems Anna's team is not only focused on Lokpal bill, but also on all issues in India..!

Hope the real issue of widespread corruption does not get pushed back into the background by these two groups' urge to score brownie points..

Hope anti-corruption will not get reduced to a joke..It has become a movement for the camera already..

Jethmalani insult for India

BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Ram Jethmalani - the always angry arrogant 'man(?)' - says 'Ram was a bad husband'..

Hold on, he is not talking about himself, if that was the case, who cares !
But here he is talking about Lord Rama.

Since he does not like Ram, let's take out Ram from his name and call him Ravana Jethmalani or BADmalani or flip-flopMalani.

This Ravana, after living in this world for these many years, suddenly found that Lord Rama was bad.
He had a sudden flash inside his head.May be US Cyclone Sandy had a direct impact on his head and he needs a shock treatment.

Or his mind was till now in a Kumbakarna Seva !

He is part of a party which owes its very existence on promising to build a temple for Lord Rama.

Fail to understand, why he is still in the BJP; why they have not kicked him out, yet.

He himself won't quit the party - as he is a peculiar creature.

The fact that this fellow is still allowed to hold on in BJP shows the double-standards and BJP's own attitude towards Lord Rama.

This fellow might be a famous advocate, but he does not have any understanding of our epic Ramayana.

Any body who has any sense of the life of Lord Rama, won't say any thing as bad as this advocate Ravana has said.

Hope some BJP sadhus explain to this fellow, about Lord Rama, possibly after a shock treatment.

This man is soooooo arrogant - that no one should expect an apology from him for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.

He is an insult to India and Indian culture.Any body who had the misfortune of watching any of his interviews, would have understood, how bad he is.
He scolds the interviewer, he threatens - not seen any body who is more arrogant; but soooo ignorant about his own Country's culture..

He does not even know how to behave with others. So much head weight and arrogance.I want to stress the word ARROGANCE..

One fails to understand what he thinks of himself. He opens his mouth mostly to talk non-sense, utter rubbish.

His place is in the dustbin.

What ever this creature says Lord Rama and Sita Devi will always be revered in India.

Another Rahul-ism !

Rahul Gandhi again - Congress Party's future PM candidate !!

He attacked BJP today for not supporting FDI.He says Congress had supported the BJP lead government during the Kargil war !!

hoo..was that a favour done to BJP by the Congress?? Was Kargil an attack by pakistan on BJP ??

And how on earth some one can compare FDI to Kargil intrusion !!

Hope some one from the Congress party tells Rahul that Kargil war happened because pakistan attacked India. The whole Country was behind the Indian government at that time in our fight to push out the pakistani forces from our land.

Hope our future PM candidate reads newspapers and understands facts before saying things like these..
Or let's hope he takes  a hard look at his speech writer !

God save INDIA...

Retired Army Chief may gherao Parliament

Times of India reports :

Many within military circles are animatedly discussing the increasing political activism of former Army chief General V K Singh. Discussions over the controversial former chief further intensified on Friday when he announced that he may join a gherao of Parliament announced by cane growers.

To many serving and retired officers, Gen Singh's ambivalence over those accused of corruption has come as a shocker. "Yesterday, he was sharing the dais with Om Prakash Chautala, who is accused of accumulating crores of rupees worth of illegal wealth, he is under CBI investigation. Gen Singh's moral circle doesn't go beyond his personal political ambition," a serving colonel said. He added that it was "embarrassing" to see the former Army chief "stage hopping" on a daily basis "without any ideological moorings".

Many in military circles believe that Gen Singh could be positioning himself for the 2014 elections. "He seems to be testing out various forums," a senior serving officer, who has known Gen Singh for years, said.

Gen Singh's Friday outing for cane growers came a day after he shared the stage with opposition leaders including Chautala in Haryana. Gen Singh appeared along with leaders of Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan and demanded rejection of the Rangarajan committee report on freeing the sugar sector.

The committee has recommended doing away with State Advisory Price and which will adversely affect the farmers of northern states, he said. Along with RKMS convenor V M Singh, Gen Singh released a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanding rejection of the Rangarajan committee report.

Asked whether he supported the call for a gherao of Parliament in December, the former Army chief said, "I am endorsing a call which is in the interest of farmers." When asked if he would join the gherao, Gen Singh said, "We will cross the bridge when we reach there... Whether that situation will come or not, we will see."

However, even the fact that Gen Singh was endorsing such a mode of protest has not gone down well with many in military circles. Maj Gen (retd) Afsir Karim told a TV channel that it was "a surprising statement for a just retired chief" to make.

Lt Gen (retd) Shankar Prasad said Gen Singh's announcement meant "breaking the law", and for a former Army chief -- sworn to protect the Constitution -- to endorse such a method was baffling. "I really wonder if such a statement is befitting for a man of his wisdom," he said.

A serving general said Gen Singh always had shifting stances on most issues. "He went back on his commitment not to rake up his age issue once he became chief. He wouldn't think twice before going to Supreme Court to challenge the government over the age issue. He wouldn't now mind sitting alongside corrupt politicians," the officer said.

As reported, it's indeed surprising that a recently retired Army Chief is planning to gherao our Parliament. The fact that he is seen sharing the dais with corrupt politicians when he is part of the so-called anti-corruption crusade, is strange to say the least.

He seems to be driven only by his own personal ambitions rather than any urge to serve the Nation.

The sort of statements he is making these days like - asking for the immediate dissolution of Parliament etc., does indicate a certain contempt for our Parliament, and his current activities does not seem to fit-in with his status as a just retired Indian Army Chief.

Army and Army officers - both serving and retired - are viewed with a lot of respect - but Mr.VK Singh is now involved only in tarnishing whatever he has gained by his service to the Nation when he was in Army..

It's such a pity - especially him sharing the stage with corrupt politicians, when on the other hand he claims himself to be an anti-corruption warrior !!

Abhishek Manu CD Singhvi Backk

It seems the Congress Party has brought Abhishek Manu Singhvi as it's spokesperson.

He was removed earlier after a controversial CD showing him in a compromising position came into public view.

Question to congress is, has this man been cleared of the dirt ??

It will look funny, when this guy addressees the media in all seriousness - but all those who hear him speak will be laughing..

So much for the Congress party's morality !!

They have become sooo arrogant that they don't care public opinion..

VK Singh asks for immediate dissolution of parliament

Former Army chief General VK Singh, who has joined Anna Hazare has called for the immediate dissolution of Parliament.

Since it's the former Army Chief, who retired only recently, is asking for dissolution, hope the Prime Minister responds immediately and dissolves the government.

What a joke, this is turning out to be !!

Ok.fine.Let the government go now itself - may be mid-night today itself.

Let there be an election and let another government comes.

Again, say, after 6 months Mr.VK comes again and calls for the dissolution of that parliament. And since it's Mr.VK who is asking, again let there be a dissolution.

And, and hope this continues !!

Narendra Modi's humiliating comments on another person's wife

Taking potshots at MoS Human Resource Development (HRD) Shashi Tharoor and his wife Sunanda Pushkar, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called the latter "a 50 crore girlfriend".

"There was a Congress leader who was a minister in Parliament. He was accused of amassing wealth from cricket. He had said in Parliament that he is not connected to the Rs 50 crore that in the lady's name," said Modi. "Have you ever heard of Rs 50 crore girlfriend?" he asked.

Earlier, during the rally, Modi also took a jibe at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, calling him 'maun' Mohan Singh, in an indirect reference to his silence over most matters.
News Courtesy : http://ibnlive.in.com

Well, this is Mr.Low Class Narendra Modi speaking..!!

What else can you call a man, who has made it a habit to speak dirt.He is supposed to be the PM in waiting for the BJP. Hope he waits and waits.Hope India does not get this person who presided over one of the most shameful mass murders as her PM.And when he opens his mouth, he does not spare even women from his ugly comments!

Now coming back to charges against Sashi Tharoor : the charges against him has turned out to be not true.He has not received any kickbacks. As a person who got elected to Lok Sabha from Kerala, he showed interest in an IPL team for Kerala. That was his only fault.

Probably his inexperience in Indian politics and his tweets did not help. The person who created all the hungama, Mr.Lalit Modi, is now staying outside of India to escape all the charges he is facing.

Any way whatever that may be, to talk lowly about another person's wife, only Mr.Narendra Modi can do.That is Mr.Modi's culture. That is not Indian culture.

For Mr.Modi, if his intention was to draw attention to corruption, well, he should first ask his party president Mr.Nithin Gadkari to resign.Cowardly making vulgar comments on another person's wife is not what a self-respecting person will do.

I am not a Congress supporter, but what I find laughable is the grandstanding  that BJP always displays, even when they too have lot of skeletons in their cupboard.

Better than Heaven or Arcadia
I love thee, O my India!
And thy love I shall give
To every brother nation that lives.
God made the Earth;
Man made confining countries
And their fancy-frozen boundaries.
But with unfound boundless love
I behold the borderland of my India
Expanding into the World.
Hail, mother of religions, lotus, scenic beauty, and sages!
Thy wide doors are open,
Welcoming God's true sons through all ages.
Where Ganges, woods, Himalayan caves, and
men dream God -
I am hallowed; my body touched that sod.

BJP Double yardsticks

BJP's double standards continues..

They accuse the Congress led UPA of being very corrupt..That's fine..

But as I have mentioned in one of my earlier blog post, those who are themselves sitting in glass houses should not throw stones at others..

There is credible evidence out there against BJP's president Nitin Gadkari. The BJP & RSS has chosen to give their  complete surrport to Gadkari, who has floated shell companies with even his driver being mentioned as director of many companies..

Hope, from now onwards, atleast for a few days - the BJP leaders should not utter a word against other party corruptions.First put your own house in order. The person who is accused of corruption is none other than the party president..

One of BJP's earlier president Mr.Bangaru Laxman who was caught red-handed accepting bribe is behind bars these days..

So don't give tutorials on morality to others..
If BJP had asked and made Gadkari to resign, they could have taken the moral high ground..Not anymore..

People are not fools..They know the level of all the politicians..Except for a few, most politicians have some thing or the other to cover-up..

India's IPL Blues

IPL - or the Indian Premier League - is slowly, but surely disintegrating.

Kochi tuskers terminated. Deccan Charges terminated.

Don't know the status of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
It's owner Vijay Mallya is in a soup with his Kingfisher Airlines employees not getting their salaries for about 7 to 8 months !!

And the less said about the IPL team's performance in tournaments like Champions League T20, the better.

The funny thing is after IPL has arrived, Indian team's T20 performances has gone down and the performances of other teams has improved.Players like Shane Watson, Chris Gayle, Kiren Pollard has gained tremendously.

It looks like it's high time BCCI terminates this venture.

On the Uproar in Australia on Sachin

I too agree with former Australian player Mathew Hayden's comments that Sachin Tendulkar should not have been awarded the `Order of Australia`.

He has a point when he says such Australian national awards should be exclusively for Australian citizens only.

And I hope when he says this, this is the first instance this award was given to a non-Aussie.
Else questions will arise why people like him did not raise this issue earlier.

(Note : Sachin is not the first to be awarded this.)

Earlier Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, during her India visit, had announced that `Order of Australia` will be conferred on Sachin Tendulkar for his contributions to cricket.

There is lot of negative comments in the Australian press regarding giving this award to Sachin. They point to his role in the infamous monkey-gate involving Andrew Symonds and Harbhajan Singh.Whatever Sachin did, was to support his teammate.I don't think Sachin said or did any thing wrong.Australians also rallied around their players. So how is it that Sachin came out dented in that episode ??

He did nothing wrong.

See, these chit-chats on the playing field, it's the Australians who are any way the pioneers - what with Steve Waugh calling it the Australian way of mentally disintegrating the opponents !
So they too are bound to get some thing in return for what they give to the opposing teams' players.

Now coming back to the 'Order of Australia' award,  I don't think Indians or for that matter Sachin Tendulkar is so desperate to get this award. It's the Australian PM who announced it like pulling a rabbit out of the hat.

For what she did, it's not fair on Mathew Hayden, who also said make Sachin the Aussie PM, or for the Aussie media to target Sachin.

Take back your award - we don't want award + insults.

Glamour of being corrupt

The glamour of being corrupt is no longer there. The main culprit for this is Arvind Kejriwal.

With his almost daily instalments of exposes on politicians, people have lost the WOW factor.

Now it's considered normal to be corrupt, especially if you are a politician.

I have no doubt in my mind that whatever Mr.Kejriwal does, people will still continue to vote for these people.

Politicians with serious murder charges and in jail have fought elections and won!

What Mr.Arvind's only achievement is to snatch away the glamour quotient from the word 'corrupt'.

Now those politicians who does not have a corruption charge against them, for Arvind to expose, feels like some college boys who feel ashamed of not having a girl friend..

The Transfer !!

Transfer is state policy.Any body who does a honest job, be it a policeman or an IAS officer, transfer is a weapon that politicians in power use, without any remorse.

Honesty is not some thing that can be tolerated!!

T20s - For whom!

Champions League T20 going on these days in South Africa. The question is for whom??

T20 world cup just got over a week or so back. There is too much T20 cricket going around.

Even a diehard cricket fan like me is fed up and I am not watching any of the matches except for a match or two.

The surprise is the participation of Sachin Tendulkar. He is not doing his reputation any good by participating in these sort of meaningless T20's and by getting out cheapily to little known bowlers.

Any body there with credibility?

Ok now the new expose CD of wannabe politician Arvind Kejriwal is out today. It's against BJP president Nitin Gadkari. And BJP which till now was enjoying the expose on Congress is saying IAC has no credibility..wow..

The problem with BJP is they themselves are sitting in glass houses and hence they cannot throw stones at others.

This is what essentially Arvind also wanted to tell the people. That is, both ruling and opposition parties are corrupt, so the option for the people is the new, yet to be named, party of Arvind.

Only problem is, some of the new party's members are themselves living in glass houses!!

Is Mr.Arvind Kejriwal's politics any different ?

The promise of a new dawn in politics by Mr.Arvind Kejriwal is slowing, but surely, playing out on prime time news channels.

It's a politics of blackmail and reality show style, timed, revelations..

The question is, if he has proof against some politicians, why is he revealing them part by part - in installments. This, obviously, is to gain political mileage and to keep himself in the media glare always. This is not the clean politics that India expected from him.

He goes to houses and restores electricity, of defaulters of electricity bills. The question is not whether or not the bills were inflated or not, the question is - is he right in restoring it ? If  people think they have got inflated bills and does not pay and then forecfully restores supply, will that lead to anarchy in our Country. Are there no other means to fight inflated bills in our Country??

Mr.Arvind Kejriwal's intentions may be very noble, but his means of achieving those are deeply disappointing.

As a humble citizen of this Country who is fed up with all the scams that's occurring, I too was initially very excited with the emergence of Anna Hazare and his team. But it's now slowly becoming more of the same, more of the same sort of ugly politics.

Mr.Arvind defends the Bhushan's when corruption charges are made against them, but jumps to take centre-stage if it's of other party politicians.
He surely should bring out corruption charges against others - that's fine. But he cannot have double standards.

When Kiran Bedi was shown to be claiming inflated travel bills, Arvind defended her.Nothing is being said about that now by any one.

This is not the sort of politics we expected. If his party comes to power, and if his party-men indulge in corruption, he will surely defend them, that's what his defence of the Bhushans and Bedi showed.
And that's what is exactly the Congress,BJP and other parties does when there are corruption charges against any of their party-men.

Add to this people like Mr.Prashant Bhushan, who does not believe Kashmir should be with India, are the leading lights of India Against Corruption group. He has others who are naxalite sympathizers.

These are not good indicators..

Mr.Kejriwal these days is behaving like the self appointed policeman, lawyer, judge and executioner  of India.Bringing out corruption charges, which were held behind closed doors like that of Mr.Robert Vadhra's is fine, but he himself pronouncing the final verdict is dangerous. He is saying no need for any further inquiry and Mr.Salman Khurshid, should be send to jail, about the allegations against Mr.Khurshid !!

Well, what to say.The new Poli-Tricks..

Threatening Law Minister

Whether or not the corruption charges against India's Law minister Salman Khurshid and his wife have any merit or not can be contested by Congress and the minister himself. It's their right to tell the people that the accusations are not true. They should do this by providing facts which will show that the overwhelming evidences of documentary and signature forgeries are wrong.

Only problem is, the kind of language that the law minister of the Country is using to defend himself betrays a certain level of nervousness.A nervousness perhaps born out a feeling of guilt. ( well, it's another point whether politicians ever feel guilty!! )

He is calling India Against Corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal and the disabled people who were protesting against him as - 'Blackmailers, rabble-rousers, third rate people doing third rate things' !!

He was also shown on television threatening Kejriwal with comments like - we will take care of him in due course, 'we will fight tooth and nail. Whatever it takes, we will fight' - etc..

Who are you Mr.Khurshid ???
Do you feel like our good old American president - issuing threats to Iraq ?!

You have every right to defend yourself against corruption charges. But comments like these?? These are not helping you,Sir..Not helping you one bit..

Sir, you are the law minister of INDIA, please behave yourself befitting the post you are holding..Pls..

Other than these blatant threats, Mr.Khurshid does not seem to have any thing to say which will convince the people that he is a 'Mr.Clean who is accused of nonsense' !

Sorry to say this - this man, even if the corruption charges against him turns out to be wrong, should not have any moral authority to continue as the 'LAW MINISTER OF INDIA'..

For billions of Indians, INDIA is our dear Motherland, not the banana republic that your party president's son-in-law  believes India is..It's another fact that people like 'that son-in-law' is trying to make India a banana republic..

Coming back to the point here - Mr.Salman Khurshid does not need to educate the people of India about who are the third rate people in India currently.

People are watching - they know who deserves that Law Ministerial title - 'Third Rate'..

Our Motherland deserves better language from her law minister. We don't need a person who can only threaten those who point out that 'The King is Naked'..

On a lighter note - Mr.Khurshid's anger might be completely justified. In these times of muti-crore corruption charges, he and his wife are accused of siphoning off only Rs.71 Lakh / Rs.67 Lakh.So he might be feeling ashamed. His cabinet colleagues are 'Multi-crorepatis'..!! A prestige issue indeed...

Mr.Khurshid right now is an angry old man, with a Law Ministry in hand.So Mr.Kejriwal and 'third-rate people' and 'mango men' should be worried and should wind up their protest and go to the Himalayas..

Shut up and get lost is the message from the Multi-talented Law Minister of the Land.No more corruption charges.Corruption will be there as a routine daily activity. No force on Mother Earth can stop it.If you try to bring it out - we will find you, we will take care of you, we will handle you.."..
So beware - that's the 'open source' message..

Tune-in to National Television for the latest threats from the Ministry of Law.Mr.Khurshid, as I write this, is about to land in India from London.Threats till now were from Great Britain..
Hoping for more spice and masala once he is in India. We are all in for some 'song & dance' in the days ahead :|

RTI should be curtailed says Manmohan Singh

The Prime Minister of India, who till a few years ago was the proverbial Mr.Clean in Indian politics - seems to have lost all his sheen!

He now seems to have achieved pioneering status with respect to inventing means and ways to hide blatant loot of our Motherland..

He is reported to have said that RTI, Right To Information act, should be curtained if it violates people's privacy !!

Hold on, what sort of privacy is he talking about ??

Privacy to hide corruption charges - whatever it is, the timing of his statement is horribly wrong.

With all the corruption charges against his government and members of the Congress party, details about which mostly came via documents gathered via RTI and because of media investigations and India against corruption team's efforts, to say that RTI should be curtailed is purely to hide further dirt coming out from the closet!!

Humble request to the PM is - don't hide behind glorified terms like 'privacy'.

If you are a public servant, you should be clean both in your public life and private life.
Other wise, please resign and lead a private life.As long as you don't have anything to hide from your activities, no one will intrude into your privacy !!

If your government and your party has looted the Country, truth will emerge, hopefully, and it will hurt you.

Corruption and Hikes

Two words omnipresent in India at the moment are : Corruption and Hikes..

Corruption at all levels, scams..

Politicians are looting the Country..
People like Suresh Kalmadi, A Raja - are back now in important parliamentary committees !!
Serious corruption charges are still pending against them..

Then there are hikes : masquerading as reforms..

Hike in oil prices, cooking gas, train fares, electricity.. You name it..
Cost of living has sky-rocketed in the last few weeks..
Common man, poor people of this Country are finding it difficult to live..

Talking about oil prices : It's any body's guess as to where the petrol, diesel prices are headed..

Going by current trend, it's petrol price that will reach the 100 figure mark first..But you never know..

What one fail to understand is, oil companies swiftly increase prices, or re-adjust prices, as they call it; but when global oil prices goes down, it seems oil companies goes for a sleep..They are extremely reluctant to decrease the price!!

From October 1st onwards, oil companies are reportedly making 2 Rupees/Litre profit, as a result of climbdown in global oil prices..

Today is 6th October, still not a word as to when there will be a price reduction in India..

Dinner Bill of the Reformed Prime Minister

"Money does not grow on trees" -- This will be remembered as the defining motto of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's second term in office.

This discovery may not be of the scale of what Newton discovered when an apple fell from a tree.World-wide appreciation of Mr.Manmohan Singh's discovery is still awaited.

Any way finally, our PM has opened his mouth to do some thing other than eating.

His government might have started looking at the trees for money because even a dinner party he hoisted at his residence to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of UPA-II government has cost the exchequer Rs 28,95,503.

His dear friend Mr.Montek, Planning Commission - who needed Rs 35 Lakh toilets (well, if they are eating like this, Rs 35 Lakh toilets may not be enough), had earlier said some thing like Rs.32/- is enough for a common man for a day. Yes, Rs.32/-.

Even after all the loot and corruption, since enough money was not coming-in, they declared - REFORMS..

REFORMS effectively means loot the people directly - by increasing petrol, diesel, kerosine, cooking gas, electricity bills etc..

People should take it as a challenge and continue to live on Rs.32/day.

Oil companies always says they are incurring losses in crores daily, and they want to raise oil prices almost monthly..

One doubt every body will be having is, if they are incurring losses in crores, daily - why they have not gone bankrupt till now??

On the contrary, when these companies publish their balance sheets, it always indicate profit in crores and crores - probably the government and oil companies are mis-reading the balance sheet. Profit is read as loss, is it!!

May be..

Planning Commissions might be having a separate department to look at areas from which direct loot can be carried-out.. All in the name of reforms..

They might have even looked at trees and scientifically investigated whether money can grow on trees or not. Then told the PM that as of now they could not find any money on trees or could not find a workaround to make trees grow money..

And  hence the ultimate discovery 'Money does not grow on trees"..

The government policy is very clear now :
1)As much as possible squeeze the common man, by increasing prices of all essential commodities in the name of reforms,  2) loot, loot and loot public money & have lavish parties, build expensive toilets for government institutions like the Planning Commission etc, etc and etc..

It's also being reported that a government which says there is no money, so need to go for reforms - had it's ministers and officials tour foreign countries at an expense of 678 Crores this year. This is 12 times the figure for the last year..

Does the PM have any thing to say about these blatant loot!! He won't open his mouth to talk on these..

So yes .. continue the happy loot & try and reform common man..

Wishing every body more and more happy 'REFORMS'..

A humble suggestion is - probably look at having a monthly bill for a gas named - Oyxgen..

Poor decisions by Dhoni

Strange decision by Indian cricket captain Dhoni to continue to sideline Virender Sehwag and persist with Irfan Pathan as opener..

Some might call it a bold, assertive decision to drop Sehwag..
But it looks like a foolish decision..

Writing this mid-way through India - Australia T20 Super 8 match.
India at 129/6 off 19 overs..

Whatver happens to the outcome of the match, seeing some strange decisions by Dhoni..

Continuously persisting with Rohit Sharma also defies logic. He rarely performs.Atleast when Sehwag performs, India mostly wins the game..

Also, India's batting approach seems to be to bat out the power plays, keep wickets in hand and try to hit out towards the end..
Come on, yaar, this is a 20 over match.Need to strike early. That's why Sehwag is soooo important..

Any way, hope India wins..
If India looses, these strange decisions should be the main factor..

I also think India is the only team in this tournament which does not believe in hitting sixes..!!!

My gut feeling is that the score won't be enough..

Time now : 10:19PM : A small update :
Australia could win only by 9 wickets. And only 31 balls still remained!
A pretty poor victory indeed!!

Except for Dhoni, Gambhir - almost all Indian players could bowl at the Australians and the Australians could not do any thing to prevent it :|

That is an achievement!

Dhoni's bowling Tendulkar, Mr.Zaheer Khan did a great job, as he has been doing these days..

Unofficial to Official

In Kerala, power cut started today - Officially.

Unofficially, it was there for the last few days; atleast in the area where I am residing, there was power cut for the last few days..

Good that the Government has officially announced it..

Why do it stealthily !!

Any way, with the lack of rain this season, it was only to be expected..hmm

May be, it's time to start thinking about solar powered electricity..

The problem is the lack of direction and expertise in that area..

Memorandum to Punjab governor to dismiss PM

It's being reported that -

Local wing of Bhartiya Janta Party on Friday submitted a memorandum to Punjab governor Shivraj Patil  asking for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's resignation on the issue of corruption.

Hope the Punjab Governor immediately terminates Manmohan Singh's Prime Ministerial Contract !!!

A very 'low-class-local' act by a local wing of BJP!!

The governor or even the President does not have the power to dismiss the Prime Minister of India - don't they know this??

Pure publicity stunt..!!

I am messenger of India's compassion, honesty

Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama today said India is the only example where more than 100 crore people of various religions are living in harmony.

"I am the active messenger of India and keep on promoting Indian treasure of compassion, truth and honesty throughout the world. India is the generator of non-violence and peace," he said.

The Nobel Peace laureate said, "every where I have said that India is the only living example of several religion, where more than 100 crore people live in harmony."

He also termed Dharamsala as his "mother land".

While welcoming spiritual guru Morari Bapu he said, "As I spent a major portion of my life in Dharamsala, I consider it as my 'Matri Bhumi' (mother land)."

The Lama was speaking on the opening day of the 9-day Ram Katha at Police Ground here today.
Lama said to Morari Bapu, "I am happy that you didn't confine yourself to the temples and came out to teach people the lesson of truth and honesty."

It is now the time that the religious leaders of India should guide the countrymen to keep them away from corruption and injustice.

Dalai Lama said that though the money is important for life, but without peace it too can't help.

The ever green street protestor : Mamata

Mamata Banerjee, the ever green street protestor, who unfortunately is the Chief Minister of West Bengal now, has finally acted on her threat to the Central Government, by withdrawing her ministers and her support to the Govt.

West Bengal voted for a change by bringing-in Mamata, by throwing out the Left front government..

But it seems, the hope for change by the people will remain a dream..

Mamata remains a street fighter - not yet the Chief Minister of West Bengal..

What she knows best is to play brinkmanship politics..

Instead of playing these publicity stunt politics, if she can stop calling all those who oppose her 'Maoists' and start doing the job of a CM, it will be better for her and her party.

Else, at the next available opportunity, people will teach her a lesson.
Beware!!

Money does not grow on trees

Our Prime Minister, while addressing the Nation said that money does not grow on trees.

Well, then it's even more vital to ensure that we eradicate corruption.

Currently, with all the scams and looting of public exchequer, India would definitely hope that money does grow on the branches of trees..

Why only money, let there be trees which gives gold coins also..

Then the corrupt politicians won't need to loot exchequer, they can pluck it from the branches..

Hoping to see such a day. Then when diesel prices are hiked, our PM can say 'What's the problem.Just pluck some Rupees from trees and pay na..!!"

Against Harthal

ഇന്നലെ നടത്à´¤ിà´¯ ഹര്‍à´¤്à´¤ാà´²്‍ à´•ൊà´£്à´Ÿ് à´Žà´¨്à´¤ു à´¨േà´Ÿി  ?? -- In Malayalam.

This means : What's the benefit of yesterday's harthal ?

It's high time, we as a civilized  NATION stopped this.

The same people who protests against any infringment of 'freedom of expression' some times calls harthals.

There is an irony here..

Harthal means forcibly making people to comply - not to go for work, not to venture out of home.
Is this not against one's personal freedom??

After a harthal day, in the next day's News Paper, many times seen news items - where-in even ambulances carrying critical patients are stopped from going to Hospitals.

Harthal as a means of protest is not an option.

I have seen many many harthals, Bharat bandhs - till now I have not seen any harthal/bandh having any positive effect.

Still the saga continues...

Harthal, Bharat Bandh - Festivities

Never understood what political parties gets out of organizing a forced complete shutdown in the form of a 'Harthal'. The state of Kerala had harthal on 15/09/2012 against diesel price hike - called by left parties and BJP .

Now on 20/09, there is going to be a Bharat Bandh, against diesel price hike and the central government's decision to allow FDI.

In Kerala, the left parties and BJP will 'celebrate' 20/09 as a 'protest day' - because in Kerala these parties are always ahead of other states. We, in Kerala, already enjoyed the 'complete shutdown' yesterday..

Only problem is - the hiked diesel price is not showing any signs of coming down.

So if you think like that, the useless harthal of 15/09 failed, it only added to the discomfort of the common man.

Any way, 15/09 failed or not; wishing all my other state countrymen a happy 'Bharat Bandh' on 20/09.

And yes, let's wait and see if that mega, multi-star event brings down the diesel price !!

Harthal - The National Festival of Kerala

I was getting really worried, because even though there were many reasons available,no political parties were ready to 'host' a harthal for the last few weeks.
It was a pathetic situation.
Finally the scam tainted central government had to intervene.
Had the government not announced a diesel hike of Rs.5, people of Kerala would have missed their dear festival - The Harthal.

Thanks to LDF, BJP for announcing a harthal tomorrow.Special thanks and sweet dreams to the central government under the dynamic and energetic leadership of Prime Minister Mr.Manmohan Singh.
Only problem is,  the harthal is on a saturday.

Any way - let's ENJOY..

Hike of Rs.17 needed

To continue on the diesel price hike :

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited CMD RK Singh is quoted as saying that the diesel price should have been increased by Rs 17, but has been increased only by Rs 5.

Nothing to say..

Except this :

Hope his family takes him to a good mental asylum and hope he gets well soon..

Hope he gets an early relief..

Happy Montek

“Diesel price hike is a tough decision and we need lot of tough decisions to get to 8 per cent growth rate,” Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh told reporters today.

“I think they have taken a very important step. I am very glad that the government has taken this decision (to hike diesel price),” he said.

See, he is very glad that the poor people are going to suffer because of the inevitable price hike of all essential commodities due to the diesel price hike.

8% growth is more important to him than the sufferings of the 'aam admi'..

A VERY BRILLIANT PLANNING COMMISSION DEPUTY CHAIRMAN !!!!!!!!!!!!

A few more years of him as planning commission deputy chairman - and the Country will be in ruins.

People are fed up with these hikes, scams and lack of leadership..

Diesel Price Hiked

Breaking news....

Diesel price hiked.

A hike of Rs.5 ONLY.

A very very very negligible hike..

OK..Enjoy, every body.

Hope now prices of all those items which refused to go up with the continuous hike of Petrol prices, will go up..

Let's all plan for a great celebration of hikes in all areas of life..

UPA-2 Zindabad.

Scams + Price Hike = UPA-2.

One month to fix ALL problems in India

"Give me control of the army. I will show you miracles and set everything right within a month. Just hand over the army to me"  - This is Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray speaking in the second of his four-part interview published in party mouthpiece 'Dopaharka Saamna' on Saturday.

OK..So one month of Mr. Bal at the top of the Indian Army and all the problems India faces now will be solved.

Isn't it..

Let me try the monstrous job of identifying the issues faced by India :

1)Poverty

2)Corruption

3)Terrorism

4)Inter-state water sharing problems

5)Black money issues

6)Communalism

7)Regionalism

8) Honor Killings

9)Dowry issues
..................
..................
..................
...................

Infinity.

Hope he will put behind bars 2 persons who currently are the most dangerous persons as far as India's unity is concerned. And they are :

Udhav Thackeray & Raj Thackeray.

These 2 fellows have been following Mr.Bal's own old tactis and have been engaging in violence against fellow Indians from UP,Bihar, N-E etc..

And may be Mr. Bal Thackeray himself can go to jail - for all the violence his party Shiv Sena has perpetuated till now..

Hope Mr.Bal Thackeray will require only one month to 'get well soon'..

Tinted glass removal

Even after so many months after the Honorable Supreme Court passed a ruling to remove sunglasses from all vehicles, it's amazing to find so many vehicles still running with tinted glasses.

Today I saw a brand new BMW car, which is yet to be registered, but the owner had the audacity and time to have all the window glasses covered with thick tinted sheets!!

Don't know what is the police doing.

Every body has got adequate time to remove the sun glasses - now it's time for the law enforcing agencies to act.

Stringent punishments in the form of atleast about ,say, 25% of the vehicle's cost and suspension of driving license should be charged on those who still went ahead and applied tinted sheet on glasses after the Supreme Court passed the judgement..

Other wise those who promptly removed sun glass cover are made to look as fools !!

Over-reaction to a Washington Post Report

Not sure why the Indian Government is giving so much importance to a Washington Post report which portraits Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as ineffective.

Is the Indian Government going to react to all media reports originating out of America ??

Are the Americans our judges ??

Look inside first, people of India are not happy with the performance of the government.
When that's the situation, why bother about some shit written in a foreign media..

JUST IGNORE IT.

To BJP and other opposition parties : Don't try to take advantage of this Washington Post report.

Any outsider commenting on our Prime Minister, we should oppose together.
Internally let's slug it out for all the corruption charges and mis-management.
But outwards, let's show a united face.

Shameful incidents of competitive vote bank politics in Tamil Nadu

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu stopped the visit of a Sri Lankan school football team to Tamil Nadu and suspended an official for allowing them to play in the government-owned Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

What's going on ?

What did these innocent school children do to her or indeed to Tamil Nadu ???

Where they part of the Lankan army who fought against LTTE????????

What crap is going on !!

It also seems, from recent events and statements that Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi are engaged in a battle of who will be the best sri Lankan basher Tamil politician.Even though there is no trophy for it, they are fighting.

Only request to them is , please do give some space to the LTTE tail-holder Vaiko as well..hmm

It's also being reported that - five buses carrying 178 Sri Lankan pilgrims (which included 75 women, 36 children) to the Trichy airport were attacked by members of a pro-Tamil group on Tuesday.Pilgrims were injured by broken glasses inside one of the buses.

These pilgrims were returning after offering worship at the famous Velankanni Christain shrine near Nagapattinam.

It's hard to believe that there are such rowdy fellows in our Nation who tries to gain political mileage out of attacking innocent women and children.

Real shame on these people who targeted innocent school children and worshipers - shame on you.

To these so-called pro-Tamil groups I have this to say - People like you are cowards and that's why you resort to such cowardly acts...
Do you think by such acts you are doing a great service to Tamil, Tamil Nadu and Tamil people ??

This is not doing any good to the image of our Country in the eyes of the world.

Also, are we trying to create another pakistan down south? Can we afford to have one more enemy nation?

Is it in our interest?

Already China is taking unusual interest in the affairs of Sril Lanka.
Tamil Nadu politicians and the so-called pro-Tamil groups, better take note of this.

Let's all ask for dignified life for the Tamil speaking population in Sri Lanka. But attacking innocent Sri Lankan Nationals is not the the way forward. Not at all....
