Victory of the people of Mumbai

People of Mumbai ,atleast those who went and watched My Name is Khan yesterday, openly defying the threats to block the screening of the film deserves all credit for not getting bullied by sena goons.

It's a shame that Shiv Sena leader Manohar Joshi was also part of a gang of goons who tried to stop screening in a theater. He was a former Chief Minister and above all a former Lok Sabha speaker! He should be ashamed of himself...

What ever Shah Rukh has said,Sena could have chosen a more democratic way of protest,if they think that his statements were not proper.Threats and violence is not the way forward. But then Shiv sena knows only gundagiri. The funny thing is when sena leaders talk about PATRIOTISM...!!

Sena goons beat-up Indians whom they claim are north Indians, they even destroy property of Marathi Manoos (cinema halls etc in Mumbai) and they claim ,they are standing up for Marathis and for patriotism..What joke..!!

And as for Shah Rukh's comments that pak players should have been there in IPL,well,he did not say that pak terrorists should be part of IPL..!

For God's sake let's have a strong stand against terrorism, but let's not make ourselves weak by thinking that a few pak cricketers can weaken our resolve to stand united against pak based terror.

Let's do every thing possible to defeat pakistan in its terror game, but let's stop these petty fights amongst ourselves.

As I said earlier,Shiv sena has every right to protest against Shah Rukh's comments, after all we are an open and democratic Country. The issue is with the mode of protest.

One can also say that Shah Rukh has not covered himself with glory in this matter. He regrets IPL not selecting even a single pak player, the question is he himself is owner of an IPL team,The Kolkotta Knight Riders, how many pakis his team selected??

Now coming back to the resolve of the Mumbaikars to defy sena orders, they have shown that they are strong, resilient people and they won't allow themselves to be bullied any more.

Let's hope this is only a bright beginning and this winds of change will blow across India and in future defeat fringe elements, groups who practice violence, parochialism, and divisive politics.Only then we,as a Nation, can stand united and crush the nefarious designs of pak based terror directed against us.
