An open threat against law of the land

Shiv Sena dared the Maharastra government to arrest party chief Bal Thackeray after a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued by a Bihar court against the Sena supremo for allegedly making uncharitable and inflammatory remarks against Biharis in party mouthpiece 'Saamna'.

"The Sena chief was arrested earlier and the government has seen what happens when he is arrested. I don't think they will commit the mistake again," Thackeray's son and Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray said, reacting to the development.

Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate (Bhojpur) Rakesh Pati Tiwari ordered issuance of the warrant after Thackeray failed to appear before him in compliance with his July 7 order on a complaint filed by advocate Rajesh Kumar Singh in the court in 2008 accusing Thackeray of making comments against Biharis in 'Saamna'.

Well, what Uddhav is saying is an open threat against Indian Law.Open defiance against judiciary. The Maharastra Government should show some spine and go ahead and arrest this so-called-above-the-law person and deal sternly with those who try to fan trouble after-wards.

One fail to understand the attitude of the Shiv Sena.If there is a court case and an arrest warrant, they should fight the case in court and not to issue veiled threats of violence. It's not a cultured way of dealing this.

It's time to grow-up as far as the Sena is concerned..!!
