Brave Wife Of a National Hero

The brave Wife of National Hero Hemant Karkare.Look at her,She is standing there, with lot of pride,no visible tears, even though deep down she will be shattered.Indians should be deeply, deeply grateful to people like her who suffer silently.Let's all salute Her.She enhanced peoples love, affection and respect for her when she rubbished the compensation offer by Narendra Modi, who was out to take political mileage out of the Mumbai carnage.Only the other day Modi and his parivar were saying all sorts of bad things about Hemant Karkare.

Let's pay our tribute to Hemant Karkare, who led from the front. His departure is a great loss to our Nation. But his soul will rest in peace, because he laid down his life fighting for his motherland and for his people.Same with all other great men who laid down their life fighting for India during the Mumbai terror attack.

National Hero NSG Commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan

His father said he was proud of his son who sacrificed his life for the country: "He died for the nation."

Read below News report from telegraph

Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan had not told his family he was going to Mumbai.

His father, Unnikrishnan, and mother found out when an official called them at their home near Yelahanka air force station, Bangalore, to say their only son was dead.

Sandeep, who turned 31 on March 15, had wanted to join the air force but ended up in the army because of a “small eyesight problem that got corrected later”, his cousin Sandhya Prasad said over phone from Bangalore. “I was like a sister to him. We were very close,” she said.

Commissioned in June 1999, Sandeep was part of the 7 Bihar Regiment. In 2006, he signed up for the National Security Guard, the elite commando force raised to fight terror, around 400 of whose men have been rushed to Mumbai.

“The family had no idea Sandeep was part of the operation in Mumbai. He had not informed them for security reasons,” said S.K. Krishnan, a close friend and former colleague of his father at Isro. Unnikrishnan, 62, had retired from the space agency as assistant to a director two years ago.

“However, we did feel he could have been part of the operation,” Krishnan said. “He was a son that any parent would love to have,” the family friend said, breaking down.

Chandrashekharan, another family friend who knew Sandeep from the time he was a toddler growing up in the Isro Colony on the other side of town in Ulsoor, said Unnikrishnan was devastated.

“The father and son were very close. It was his encouragement that led Sandeep to join the NDA and become an army officer,” he said.

Unnikrishnan had never scrimped on his son’s education. Sandeep went to Frank Anthony Public School, whose principal Christopher Browne remembered the officer as an “extraordinary child” and an “all-rounder” who excelled in academics and sports.

“He was an incredible sportsman. He held various records in sports,” Browne said, adding he would help anyone to a fault.

The principal said Sandeep had dreamt of joining the forces from when he was in Class III and even came to school in a crew cut.

“He was a bright student. Sandeep passed Class XII with distinction from Frank Anthony and joined the NDA in 1994,” Sandhya said.

The family came from Beypore in the northern Kozhikode district of Kerala but had lived in Bangalore for the past 28 years.

Thanks Sandeep..It's an honour to die fighting for one's motherland ..
India is really really indebted to bravemen like YOU.

Shivraj Patil Booted Out

Shivraj Patil was forced to resign,Congress had no option. The entire country is in a very angry mood at the total failure of India's internal security. So the govt had to take the 1st step which they should have taken a looong long time ago. That is to sack the most inefficient home minister India ever had.
Hopefull whoever replaces him won't be worser than him. It's not possible because he was at the bottom.Things can only go up.The whole intelligence system need to be revamped.
New aggressive bureaucrats and rough and tough, daredevil pro-active officers should be given key positions within the entire security network,be it in the RAW,IB and all other security apparatus.
There is nothing that India has gained being a peace-loving,soft Nation. Our entire makeup should be changed, and we should radiate ourselves to the outside world as a nation which is very tough and very very aggressive and proactive against it's enemies.

Atleast India should try some thing different.Current policies are not working.

THE AIM SHOULD BE TO CRUSH THE ENEMIES OF OUR NATION,IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT APPROACH IS TAKEN,it absolutely doesn't matter, covert or overt.Whatever is needed, whatever means should be adopted should be adopted and India should always be ahead of our enemies.

Can this all happen....!!
mmmmm
HOPEFULLY SO....HOPEFULLY...We have no other option..

Mumbai Terror Attack Aftermath

News report indicate that PM kept Home Minister Shivraj Patil
out of an anti-terror meeting. This indicates that he has lost
confidence in his Home Minister. If that's the case, why on
earth Patil is still the Home Minister? If he had any
self respect(which obviously he does not have),he should
have resigned.
But yeah, this is India and Mr.Patil is an Indian politician.
Also Manmohan Singh can't send off Sonia Gandhi's footwear
polisher just like that.He is also a dependent.

Happens...It happens..Only in India..

Another thing.. Mr.Manmoham has requested pakis to send
across the ISI chief to India..why???
To congratulate him for masterminding the Mumbai terror??
Or to give evidence of Pak hand??If India shows evidence,
pak ISI chief will say sorry and start crying and go back
home and dismantle the terror organizations like lashkar?
haha...Poor Manmohan...hooo..Who all are advising you sir..

Show the evidence to the whole world..To Amercia,to UN,to other
powerful nations and just tell them to either do some thing
with pakis or be ready to accept what India will do to pakis.

And what should the Indian response be...a direct war??
A BIG NO.What sort of war pakis is fighting with India?
It's PROXY-WAR.
India should also declare a proxy war.

The first step could be ,say, scrapping the Indus water
treaty.Let us build whatever dams we want.
And if the world bank comes, which is the arbitrator, and
asks questions, just tell them to get lost..
Not a drop of water should be given to pakis.

Other steps could be to really REALLY upgrade RAW(India's
spy agency) activities by about 1000%.Use the Indian
facilities in Afganistan, activate all other available
facilities, create new infrastructure to teach pakistan
a lesson from which it won't be able to come out..

RAW should be given a specific target. And that target
should be the breakup of Pakistan into small small
countries. For an India which has reached the moon, this is
not an impossible target. It's not that easy, but for our
security and as a last resort this is needed. We cannot go
on like this.That's is evident.
The Indian attitude should be enough is enough. We have
suffered enough, seen enough and done nothing.
Now pay-back time should start.
pakis should not know what hit them,India should use
every means,EVERY POSSIBLE MEANS,anything and everything,
to breakup pakistan and to neutralise the terror networks.
There should be single-minded dedication.

And at the internal security front, first of all hang the
Parliament attack terrorist, ban all islamic and hindu
fundamentalist organizations,stop conversions,throw out
traitors like syed ali shah geelani, arundhati roy,
umar farooq etc,have a federal agency like FBI,have a
seperate budget for internal security, have effective
surveillance along India's costal areas,expedite
terror related cases etc etc,we could do soooo much
to make ourselves feel safer, especially because we
have done very little till now to make our beloved
Country safer.

Not sure whether the current govt or a govt led by Advani
has got the vision or willingness to do this.
That's the tragedy India is facing...

Indian politicians,all sorts,be it the bjp,congress,bsp,
cpi, cpm,sp etc etc all have one thing in common.
Hope there is no one who think it's their love for
the country...
They all, each one of them care only for VOTES.
And for that they resort to divide-and-rule policies..

You just need to consider the case of MNS chief
Raj Thackrey. He was against Indians from outside
Maharastra coming to Maharastra.Atlast what happened..
The India Navy,Army and NSG commandos were needed to
kill the terrorists. The NSG Commando,Sandeep, who died,
was a Malayali based in Bengaluru.
Why do we think ourselves as north indians, south indians,
marathis,tamilians etc.,why can't we be Indians?
Only Indians....

There is a simple message to Raj Thackrey..
Atleast for a few months, pls don't terrorise Mumbai
with your brand of terrorism, the regional terror...
The people of Mumbai, and indeed the people of India need
some breathing space before the next blasts happens in
Mumbai itself or some other parts of India(Let's hope
and pray,does not happen).

Surely there is no guarantee, that a terrorist attack
won't happen.Only GOD can prevent it,if we continue
to sleep...
There is a saying prevention is better than cure..
We are doing neither...
This is the hard truth facing we Indians who were in moon
only a few days ago..
Terrorists came via sea route it seems..So cool..Nobody
stopped them, where is India's costal security?
Inspite of many many warnings and repeated attacks and
intelligence inputs of terrorists looking for new methods to
hurt India, nothing, absolutely nothing was done to prevent this.
It's really shameful, and we talk of ourselves being on way to a
superpower....!!
The impotent politicians have made our security apparatus
weak and fragile.A country which is not safe for it's citizens
can never aspire to become a superpower.
Why do we want to go to the moon spending millions.
For God's sake, please, let's put on hold all our activities
in outer space, let's concentrate on making our MotherLand secure.
Sure, these moon missions and all are needed. But needed, once
our country is secure. What's the purpose of all our explorations
in outerspace,if we are clueless against continuous pakis attack??
Or are we all thinking of shifting to moon?
Perhaps we may feel secure there...!!!

There is no other country in the world which is 'repeatedly'
attached by it's neighboring country. And surely there won't be
any other country which does not even raise a finger to stop
such attacks.

Only India will be there....Sure..

And so it's time India wakes up..
It's time, for a change, the politicians do some thing for this
country...

Indian people have learned to come back to normalcy the very
next day a terror attack happens.
And it's perhaps time pakis take note of this..
That is, Indians have become sooooo insensitive to death and
destruction that their tactics are not working. If the
intention is to spread fear,do some thing more imaginative pakis..
Surely there will be lot of new ideas in the "animal jungle" that is
pakistan .
Let the ISI chief come up with some thing new. These terrorism,
bombings, hijackings, hostage takings etc we have seen many times
and truth to say,it's boring to us,Mrs & Mr.terrorist ladies and
gentlemen of pakistan.
And as an Indian,I can bet you won't find anything that is going to
change the Indian mindset...!!!!!
A mindset of "Devil may care.."

But,it will be worth remembering for the pakis, that India may not be
like this for all the time.Once India's patience will run out,if it has not
already ran out,and then hopefully India will do some thing and at that time
pakis should be ready to face the real music....

One thing is sure.Today every patrotic Indian is hurt,
deeply hurt.He feels wounded and he is deeply anguished
at the loss of so many innocent lives. His pride is
evaporating.There is great anger,deep resentment
and a mighty hunger for REVENGE,savage REVENGE feeling
against pakistan at the continuous bloody dangerous
one-sided mayhem that pakistan is inflicting on
India.pakistan which always talks outwardly of
peaceful co-exitence with India has been cheating
India and the world community for a long long time now.
Every terrorist that the world wants from osama to
dawood to hafeez seed to azar mazood to salahuddin
etc etc are state guests of the pakistan goverment
and intelligence agencies.Every terrorist attack the
wolrd over has been linked to pakistan one way or
the other.America fed up with pak duplicity has
started taking unilateral actions inside pak territory
to root out hardcore terrorists. It's high time this
jungle in the name of a country is declared a
'terrirost resort' and it should be punished soooooo
severly that future generations from this jungle
would shudder to even think of taking a weapon..

Let's all ponder over why there
has not been a single terrorist attack on American
soil post 9/11.It's because for Americans Country
comes first. They just forgets all their political
and other imaginary divisions when it comes to the
well-being of their great nation.
You can say almost every single American stood
as one post 9/11.And that's why America is the
sole superpower in the world and it will continue
to be so as long as they have the "Country First"
attitude..

There is a huge lesson there for INDIA to emulate.

An appeal to Manmohan Singh..Sir you changed India's destiny with your
path breaking economic policy in the 1990's.Please,please do some thing
to show to the world that India is not a soft, weak country...

Hmm...There is nothing much a helpless Indian like me can do at this hour
of deep sorrow for our Great Nation......

Shivraj Patil Master Class--Legendary Quote.

Terrorists launched a massive attack on India's financial capital,Mumbai on Wednesday, and put major hotels under seige.

Shivraj Patil had this to say :

"Before I could reach there, the terrorists who had attacked one of the hospitals, the Cama hospital, had left and those who attacked the Railway station had also left".

Above quote is from sify.com

It's really sad that our Country's Home Minister, whom we have not elected(remember he lost the last lok sabha election) could not meet the terrorists.Atleast the terrorists could have waited to shake hands with this man who is already a living legend.

The congress party and the UPA govt should hang their heads in shame for having such an incompetent man as India's Home Minister at this difficult times for our country.

Look at what the man is saying..Is he mentally ill??

After every terrorist act he comes infront of TV channels, does a fashion parade and says some rubbish or the other...

Where is Amar Sing..Samajwadi Party leader..He must and should be concerned..
Most of the terrorists involved in this attack are shot dead..
Hope the "AMAR" Singh will ask for a judicial inquiry into the circumstances that lead to the killing of the terrorists,as he had done with regard to the Delhi terror attack...!!!

Such a curse....Such a curse...Politicians like these....
With such incompetent and impotent politicians in both the ruling and opposition sides, who fight among themselves for their respective vote banks...
only GOD can save India.....

Hurriyat wants 'international fact-finding missions' to come to Jammu and Kashmir

Terming the ongoing polls in the state as a "drama", moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference headed by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq on Monday appealed to the international community to send delegations to Jammu and Kashmir on a fact-finding mission.

We appeal to international organisations to send their teams to Jammu and Kashmir to get a first hand account of the ground situation, the hurriyat said in a statementin Srinagar.

So the hurriyat again..there it comes..back in news..
Now,there was an election in J&K,people voted.Voting %tage is as high as 60 to 65.
May be the hurriyat wants a fact finding mission on why this many people voted..

As for the international community, they should be -

1)worried :-becoz it's the hurriyat which is asking for "fact-finding mission".
Any act of disobedience by the international community will not be
tolerated by hurriyat.Any member producing leave letter for absenting
from being a part of the hurriyat fact finding mission will
be crushed to pieces.

2)happy :-becoz it's the hurriyat which is asking them to come to J&K,
the state which they got as dowry. The international community
should enjoy their time out and should be extremely greatful.

3)proud :-The international community should feel "terribly"
proud of themselves that the huriyat found them to be deserving
of this honour.

What does the hurriyat think about themselves..?They can invite
foreigners to India?? Are they going to issue visa and other
travel documents to the fact finding mission?

These are times when the ISRO is planning manned missions to moon.
Hope our govt will be kind enough to put these hurriyat creatures
in one such mission and then launch and deposit them in outer
space for once and for all.
Or a one way ticket to their "DreamLand pakistan" should be given
to them.Let them enjoy the "paradise" called pakistan.

INDIAN GOVERNMENT & INDIAN PEOPLE SHOULD NOT SHOW EVEN
AN IOTA OF MERCY TO TRAITORS.THOSE WHO CHEAT THEIR
MOTHERLAND ARE CHEATING THEIR MOTHER,AND THE LAND
WHERE THEY ARE BORN,THEY DON'T DESERVE ANY,ANY SORT
OF MERCY.TEHY DON'T DESERVE TO BE IN OUR COUNTRY,
THEY SHOULD EITHER PACK THEMSELVES OFF TO THEIR
DREAMLANDS OR SHOULD BE EXECUTED SO MERCILESSLY
THAT IT SHOULD ACT AS DETERRENT TO THOSE WHO
DARE STAB OUR COUNTRY FROM BEHIND.

Barack Uma Bharati

Bharatiya Janshakti Party president Uma Bharti's latest slogan is "Yes we can". It worked for Obama, Uma is now asking, why wont it do wonders for her too?

"When I saw him taking oath, you cannot believe I thought I was taking oath. I felt I have become President of America. I identify so much with him," said Uma Bharti.

Dreaming to be India's Obama to many that may sound strange given that the two have little in common.

Where Obama swept the US elections, Uma was once the BJP's poster girl in Madhya Pradesh now struggling to find feet just before the elections. Despite that she is eyeing the top political job in the country.

On being asked, do you think you have it in yourself to be a prime minister, Uma Bharati said I can go gaga over myself when I am talking off the record.

She is often been accused of inciting communal sentiment, be it the Babri Masjid demolition or hoisting the Tricolour in Hubli for which she was jailed(In the last incident she used the National Flag for her petty communal agenda. Some of the TV channels even showed some of her party-men sleeping on the Tricolor). And now she has backed Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Thakur.

Obama may have asked Americans to get above race, colour and religion
and vote for change. But when it comes to Uma, certain things may never change.

News content courtesy NDTV.

Uma Bharati says when she saw Obama taking oath, she felt as if she was taking oath as the American President...!!
She also says she identifies so much with Obama...!!
If she indeed said this well, what can one say...
First of all she is the exact opposite of what Obama stood for during the presidential campaign.Obama's campaign unified America.Uma Bharati's politics is communal, sectarian and barbaric. She has a big ego,her policies idiotic and she was thrown out by her original party BJP from CM's post in MP and eventually from the party itself, because even they could not tolerate her ego and policies..

The funny thing is, she says when she saw Obama taking oath as US president.
When did that happen??
Obama is still only the president elect,George Bush is the president still.Obama's oath taking is still few days away..

As for Barack Uma Bharati, hope she "gets well soon".Let's hope, for the benefit of her party workers she does not start behaving like American president.Else more of her part workers might get slapped by her (as what happened recently)

Zardari's no first use policy...!!!

For the first time, a Pakistani head of state promised a “no-first nuclear-strike” against India, talked of change and reconciliation, of shared bloodlines and the possibility of doing away with passports.

“I can assure you that Pakistan will not be the first country ever to use (nuclear weapons),” said Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari. “I hope that things never come to a stage where we have to even think about using nuclear weapons (against India).”

The statement came when Zardari was addressing the HT Leadership Summit on Saturday via a satellite link from his official residence in Islamabad. A student from Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College asked him: "Will you use nuclear weapons against India?"

Television host Karan Thapar, who was compering the session, interjected and asked Zardari if he was making a no-first-use assurance, something no Pakistani head of state has ever done (India has a no-first-use policy).

“If so, you have just made headline news,” Thapar told Zardari.

"Most certainly" responded the President, dressed in a dark business suit and bright tie, as he sat against the backdrop of a huge portrait of his slain wife Benazir Bhutto and Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

In his opening remarks, there was no reference to Kashmir; that came up only during the question-and-answer session. Zardari's emphasis was on economic and political cooperation. He also suggested some kind of regional cooperation for a non-nuclear South Asia.

Zardari borrowed a quote from his late wife, who once said that there's a "little bit of India in every Pakistani and a little bit of Pakistan" in every Indian.

"I do not know whether it is the Indian or the Pakistani in me that is talking to you today," Zardari said, amid applause from his high-profile audience, which included diplomats, politicians and industrialists.

At time emotional, at times witty, Zardari exuded warmth and positivity, using pithy one-liners to deflect tough queries.

He was asked: To which country does Kashmir belong? "It belongs to Kashmiris," he said.

In the context of one round of violence-free polling in Jammu and Kashmir, attributed by some to Pakistan's recent hands-off policy, he was asked whether he would ensure peaceful elections in the remaining rounds.

"The (Pakistan People's Party) PPP and its government have always had a hand-off policy towards India," he replied.

Telecast live from India by CNN-IBN, the Zardari session was picked up simultaneously by Pakistani news channels.

He told a questioner that Pakistan's Parliament has "pre-agreed" to friendly relations with India. He said he did not feel threatened because India was much bigger than Pakistan.

"We don't feel threatened by India. India should also not feel threatened by us," he said. "I want change and reconciliation."

Zadari said Pakistan's parliament already has a caucus for going into Indo-Pak issues, including furthering trade relations. He thought a matching response from New Delhi would help take matters further.

Asked about Pakistan's deteriorating economy and his country's dependence in the past on aid and assistance, he said: "We want to move from aid to trade." The President flagged his consensual approach in resolving complex issues by stating that rather than seeking to conquer his opponents, he believed in taking people along.

The President also talked of a common South Asian economic bloc with other countries. He suggested a "flexible Indo-Pak visa regime", eliminating the travel documents now required and replacing them with a smart-card enabled e-visa system.

Hopefully Indian rulers and strategic and defence community won't be fooled by these statements from Zardari. He is just a puppet president. He is not the real power in Islamabad.Power is with the pak army. And pak army continues to be hostile with India. The earlier pak so-called president, Gen Musharaf more than once ruled out no-first-use policy and that is the pak army's official and unofficial nuclear policy. Also Mr.Zardari is quoting words of his slain wife..!! India should never forget the fact that the government under her started the proxy war against India. The very existence of pakistan is based on hatred for India and their aim is to bleed India via a thousand cuts as proudly proclaimed by a pak leader.India should always be very careful while dealing with pak.

Rahul,Lalu & a Mahatma

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad has said that Rahul Gandhi is doing the same thing as (Mahatma) Gandhi by going around the country and getting
the feel of the ground realities and the problems of the people. “He is young, innocent and the General Secretary of Congress who is contributing his best to the party," said Lalu.

Mr.Lalu normally itself is very funny. This joke should be right up there among the top jokes he has cracked.

Let Rahul be young, innocent, useful to his party, let him understand difficulties faced by the Aam admi etc etc.,Laluji please don't insult The Mahatma.

Gavaskar Gives Fitting Reply To Ponting In CNN-IBN Interview

Sunil Gavaskar has hit back at Ricky Ponting's comments. Ponting, while referring to Gavaskar's infamous "walk-out" at the MCG in 1981, had said the Indian legend wasn't an angel himself in his playing days.

Sunil Gavaskar: I don't look angelic, so I can't claim to be angelic. But I think Ricky Ponting must have been about seven years old when he talks about seeing that incident. But while he saw that incident I don't think he heard what had happened and the background to it.

If he has a look at the video he will find that I'm leaving the crease, going towards the dressing room, and I've turned back. That's when I tried to take Chetan Chauhan off. That happened only because I was abused. That's the reason I have been saying that abuse can be equal to all kinds of things, if you saw that happening with Gautam Gambhir.

The next day I realised what I had done was not right. I accepted it, I regretted the incident publicly at a press conference.

But the point is, Ricky Ponting and Cricket Australia are still in denial about their behaviour and the kind of language they use on the field. Unless and until they realise it's not making them popular or winning them friends, that's going to keep happening.

Now even Daniel Vettori has gone on record saying things about how overtly aggressive they are, and while banter was acceptable, I think it's the foul language that creates problems between teams as we have seen. I think it's something that they need to address very quickly.

CNN-IBN: Do you think the Australians are probably trying to divert attention from their performance in India?

Sunil Gavaskar: Yes, I think so. It's one way of trying to make excuses. They have been a champion side and suddenly they find that they have a challenger in India. Therefore, it's not just Ponting but all the other statements we've heard from other Australians probably trying to sell their books or whatever it is, are totally uncalled for. It just shows the world that they are at it.

Below is the news report on what Ponting said :

Ricky Ponting has lashed out at legendary Indian Sunil Gavaskar and other former players for often blaming the Australian team for on-field confrontations, saying the Indian opener was not an angel during his playing days.

"I know that over the past 10 years, probably longer, a notion has developed that the Australian team walks out onto the field intent on getting in fracas and having a few words... Unfortunately, as soon as a spectator or a commentator spots one of my team chipping on opponent, they assume it is a pre-meditated attack," Ponting said.

"The most laughable aspect is when I hear former players complaining, as though they never put a toe out of line in their day.

"I still have a vivid image of Sunil Gavaskar angrily trying to take his opening partner off the MCG with him in 1981 when he was given out lbw in a Test match, but to hear him today you'd think he was positively angelic when he was the best opening batsman in the world," he wrote in his Captain's Diary 2008.

Ponting said he was disappointed by the hypocrisy of former cricketers who never kept the standards in their hey-days but were demanding the same from his team.

"In the four or five days after the Sydney Test... inevitably, some ex-players - mostly the usual suspects - were into us, and I found their hypocrisy extremely disappointing. They were demanding standards from us that they had never kept themselves when they were Test stars.

"The classic came when Tony Grieg suggested that the batsmen of today should be walking to make it easier for the umpires. This was coming from a bloke who in his day made a virtue out of not walking.

"I always presumed that ex-players are employed by media outlets because their experience gives them a rare insight into the pressure elite cricketers are under and the way we think, but it seems to me that many of them forget about their past lives the minute they are handed a press pass.

Ponting also took a dig at just retired Indian captain Anil Kumble, saying his comment 'only one team was playing within the spirit of the game' after the Sydney Test was borrowed from a former Australian skipper Bill Woodfull.

"I'm not sure how extensive Anil's knowledge of cricket history is, but - as was picked up immediately by reporters - his comments echoed those made by Australian captain Bill Woodfull during the acrimonious bodyline series of 1932-33.

"'There are two teams out there, one is trying to play cricket and the other is not', Woodfull had said to English managers during the third Test of that series," he said.

Ponting and the Australian current and former players (like Gilchrist) seems to be exploring writing career or they are just trying to divert atention from the humliation they suffered in India.

Why don't we value human life...

In a shocking incident in Gurgaon, a young engineer died while eating pastries during an office pastry-eating competition.

Saurabh Sabharwal, a 22 year old engineer working with Siemens Public Communication Network died during the competition held by the company in their Gurgaon office on Wednesday.

Doctors say Saurabh died of suffocation.

It's a shame that these type of incidents occur in our country.
Eating competitions are a disaster waiting to happen, when you see people try to push into their mouth, more than what can go in.
Not sure why these type of competitions are conducted without any safety measures,if at all they are conducted.

Here anyway both the company and unfortunately the victim also seems to be at fault.
(Not sure if it's correct to fault the victim as well, but maybe, just may be,he could have been a little bit careful. After all it was his life.)
Just can't imagine what his near and dear ones will be going through.
They will be thoroughly shaken.

A valuable life is nipped in the bud.If only everybody involved was a little bit careful, this could have been avoided..

"High Praise" for Ponting

NEW Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori has sparked a tense Trans-Tasman showdown by naming Ricky Ponting, Andrew Symonds and Matthew Hayden as cricket's most aggressive nigglers.

And Vettori ruffled more feathers when he claimed his opposite number Ponting was often "spoiling for a fight".

He also insisted he was not surprised last summer's series between Australia and India had descended into a bitter slanging match.

"If a team was going to play the game hard and stand up to everything the Aussies hurled at them, there was going to be trouble," Vettori writes in his new book, Turning Point.

"I don't think many of us were surprised about the so-called 'Monkeygate' affair.

"There are always a few individuals in every team who overstate their position or overplay their importance.

"Ponting led his team very aggressively and probably hasn't often had to face an opposition team that's been just as aggressive in response.

"Add to the mix Matthew Hayden and Symonds - who are always at you on the field - and you've probably got the three most overtly aggressive players in world cricket.

"They like to get under the skin of their opponents, whereas the other guys in the Aussie team just get on with the game."

Vettori's comments are significant because most cricket observers expect a depleted New Zealand side will be like lambs to the slaughter against an Australian team baying for blood.

For the past decade, Australia has had a reputation for being "captain killers" with its ploy of making touring skippers the target of some verbal fireworks.

But Vettori, who has taken over from 10-year captain Stephen Fleming, has turned the tables and clearly wants to fight fire with fire, starting with the first Test at the Gabba on Thursday.

He has singled out Ponting, who returned from India last week with his captaincy under siege, for special attention.

Vettori remembers the bitter controversy that erupted the last time New Zealand was here, with Kiwi coach John Bracewell questioning Shaun Tait's action.

Trans-Tasman relations plummeted and Vettori wrote that Ponting often went looking for a verbal fight.

"There was another incident with Ponting after we said a few things to Brad Haddin when we believed he was running on the wicket," Vettori said.

"There were a few heated words exchanged and when I later went to the press conference an Australian reporter asked me whether something had happened in the middle and I remember saying, 'Not really. It's just guys running on the wicket but that happens in every single game of cricket'.

"That seemed fine but Ponting, as was the case with his treatment of the Indians, seemed to be spoiling for a fight and the next day we had to read a blow-by-blow account in the papers of his version.

"Personally, I've always been a person who thinks that disputes, altercations and even just conversations should stay on the field and that you should never let them go too far."

Yuvraj of India Cricket

Yuvraj Singh after scoring his second successive century
against England in Indore which enabled India to beat
England by 54 runs and to lead the 7 match series 2-0.
He also took 4 English wickets.

He should have been the natural choice as replacement for
Ganguly in the test squad. He is the most experienced young
batsman India has other than those already in the test team.
Only thing is Yuvraj needs to iron out flaws in his batting
when he faces quality spin bowling.

Anyway hope Yuvraj plays well consistently and do justice to
his immense talent. He seems to be the most naturally gifted
Indian player to have ever played cricket.

Mike Atherton Joke

India thrashed Australia 2-0 in India in the 4 match test
series.

See what former England Captain Mike Atherton is saying

"
India and England are the two likeliest candidates to build
the next cricket empire.

"

Any body who read this will be wondering how come England came into
picture here, when it's India who beat the Aussies comprehensively.

No sensible person in India is thinking that India has become an
automatic candidate to replace Australia at the top.Australia still
remains at the top and they were on top for a long time beating
every team.

We Indians can certainly hope India plays well at a consistent level.
India don't need an aura of invincibility and all.A fall, which will
be inevitable,as can be seen in case of Aussies now and Windies earlier,
will be deeper from such heights. So it's enough if India plays well
consistently.

Any way Mike Atherton's comment made up for the absence of Sidhu's
commentary :0

Hayden--Third Rated $$

"Often we find ourselves waiting with hands on hips for someone to face up or someone on the sight board to move away or some of those little frustrations happening with third world countries," Hayden was quoted as saying by Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

This is Australian opener Mathew Hayden after returning from India and smarting from the 2-0 humiliation at the hand of the India Cricket Team. The Australians might be in mental shock and might be unable to accept the fact that their aura of invincibility is gone forever..

Hayden says Indian batsmen were not quickly facing up to the Aussie bowlers..!!!
The actual fact is even a club level batting line up will be queueing up to face the current Aussie bowling line up which had part-time bowler Cameroon White as the No.1 spinner for most of the India tour..!!

Another of Mr.Hayden's point.People moving infront of sight board..
This happens all over the world..Not only in India..So let's leave it at that..
Would have happened even when India was bowling..
Hayden is just searching for an excuse for the inexplicable decisions taken by his captain Ponting..
It's better if the Aussies can accept defeat gracefully..

Now coming to Hayden calling India a "third world country"..
If the quoted sentence is read again, the message that's coming out is the contempt he has for India.

His Australia might be a "First world country" for him..
May not be for others..
India,by all means is more powerful and more influential in the world than Australia..
Economically,Militarily,morally..

The simple question to Hayden is..Why,then,he played in the Indian Premier League(IPL) earlier..

He is a national player for Australia, his "First world country"..
Why come to India, suffer all sorts of problems he mentioned in his quotes just to play in a domestic 20-20 competition..!!

Obvisouly because by playing even a few matches in IPL,he was able to earn many times more than what he would have earned playing for the Australian national side for a whole year..!!!
That's the truth..

Almost the entire Australian players played in different IPL teams..
Even retired Aussie greats like McGrath,Warne.

I leave this here..Just look at the contradiction in what Hayden says and what his and his colleagues' deeds suggest..

Hayden will do well to remember that India might be a developing country, but India is a far far far superior, greater, stronger, bigger country than Australia..
So better put that ugly blabbering TONGUE INSIDE and score some runs...!!

India Won;Ganguly Retired On Top

India dumped Australia by 172 runs in the fourth and final Test to regain the coveted Border-Gavaskar trophy after a gap of four years on Monday.
After settting the visitors a daunting target of 382 for victory, the Indians exploited a turning fifth day track to skittle out the Aussies for 209 just before the tea break to wrap up the four-match series with a 2-0 margin.

It turned out to be a perfect gift for Sourav Ganguly by his teammates in his farewell Test as they knocked out the Aussies in just about two sessions of play on the last day.

President-elect Obama:Is he a friend or another new headache India has to deal with ?

There are some news reports going around suggesting that one
of the first acts of the President will be to appoint former
President Bill Clinton as his Special Envoy on the Kashmir
issue to facilitate a settlement between India and Pakistan.
It seems somebody adviced Obama that once the Kashmir
issue is settled,Pakistan can concentrate exclusively
on dealing with terrorists at its Afgan border.!!!

It's not sure if these reports are 100% true.Still if there is
an iota of truth in these,India needs to act quickly and forcefully
and remind the Americans to better lay-off Kashmir.

Does Obama seriously believe that Kashmir issue can be settled
that easy,by appointing a special envoy, who it should be said,
was unable to do anything when he himself was US president?

India will, rightfully, never part with an inch of her territory
and pakis want Kashmir. The issue is as simple as that. Here there
is no scope for facilitation, unless ofcourse by facilitation
Obama means pakis have to adhere to status-quo.

The most amazing thing here is the fact that some one was able
to convince Obama that pakis are not able to act against taliban
because of their problems with India.Even a kid who has read
something about what's going on between pakis and taliban
will understand that it's some of the pakis soldiers themselves
who are fighting with the taliban and giving training to them
to fight the American and allied forces in Afganistan.
So it's outright foolishness if any body even thinks that
pakis are sincerely trying to act against the taliban.
Also Obama will do well to refresh his history knowledge
and should remember that it's the American's who helped
pakis create taliban to fight the Russians earlier.
Taliban army essentially is mainly madrassa students
from pakis and some retired pak generals and even some
serving soldiers of pak army, inaddition to the disgruntled
Afgan youth.

So is it trouble with India that's holding back pakis from
acting strongly against taliban terrorits and help
America in Afganistan?
Surely not.

Also as security expert B.Raman wrote in one of his columns-
if Obama wants to severely damage the developing
Indo-US relations he could not have thought of a better idea
than to meddle in Kashmir. So many Americans----Presidents,
Presidents-elect and defeated Presidential-aspirants----
thought they could help in finding a solution to the Kashmir
issue and burnt their fingers and damaged Indo-US relations.

India-US relations are at an all-time high now, with
India and the US signing the nuclear deal and making
progress in other areas of mutual co-operation.

Barack Obama should see through the nefarious designs
of pakistan, which is the most dangerous, treacherous
terrorist manufacturing unit in the world.
Let Obama check the records,he will see that in most of the
terrorism related activities happening anywhere in the world,
invariably there is a pakistani hand.Either trained in pakistan
or the terrorists are pakistani nationals.!!

Obama should ask pakis why there are still terrorist
training camps in pakistan?
Why terrorists like hafeez saeed, azar mazood and sundry
are roaming around freely in pakistan, some times organising
rallies and all in pakistani cities and raising funds and
issuing threats against US and India?

Also the important thing to note here is that the pakis are
infact now trying to destabilise the whole of India, earlier
it was J&K alone.

The bottomline is :
pakis has got deep-rooted evil designs in both India and
Afganistan. They are playing a very dangerous game and they
have fooled the Americans during the entire Bush presidency.
Obama, who has created a very good feel good factor among
Indians should call off the paki bluff.

Bharat Ratna

Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian honour, given for exceptional service towards advancement of Art, Literature and Science, and in recognition of Public Service of the highest order.

view from one side

View from the other side

Now after a long gap of 7 years, the Govt today announced that celebrated vocalist Bhimsen Joshi will be awarded the Bharat Ratna.
In the past, he has also received the Padma Shree, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.

First Thing Obama Might Have To "Change"

Barack Hussein Obama was today elected 44th president of the
United States.Mr. Obama, 47, a first-term senator from Illinois,
defeated Senator John McCain of Arizona, 72, a former prisoner
of war who was making his second bid for the presidency. He got
an overwhelming mandate in the electoral college - 338 votes
to McCain's 158.

“If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is
a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the
dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions
the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer,” said Obama
after his win.

“It’s been a long time coming,” the president-elect added, “but
tonight, because of what we did on this date in this election at
this defining moment, change has come to America.”

Barack's main campaign theme was "Change","Change" and "Change".

Guess what ..he himself may need to change..
See him smoking in the picture below..
There is a no smoking policy in the white house.
So first and foremost he himself need to change...!!!

Don't know the autheticity of the above photo..
Still it's widely known that he was a heavy smoker
earlier and he still has not quit smoking completely.

Any way it has been a historic win for him.
Hope his regime will be very very friendly towards India.

His words about influence of Mahatma Gandhi in his life is
a pleasant surprise.

"In my life, I have always looked to Mahatma Gandhi as an
inspiration, because he embodied the kind of transformational
change that can be made when ordinary people come together to
do extraordinary things," Obama wrote in an article. "That is
why his portrait hangs in my Senate office; to remind me that
real results will not just come from Washington, they will
come from the people."

So once again let's all Indians hope,he will be very keen to have
good relations with India.

How Mobile Giant Nokia got it's name

What is known today as Nokia was established in 1865 as a wood-pulp
mill by Fredrik Idestam on the banks of the Tammerkoski rapids in the
town of Tampere, in south-western Finland. The company was later
relocated to the town of Nokia by the Nokianvirta river, which had
better resources for hydropower production. That is where the company
got the name that it still uses today. The name Nokia originated from
the river which flowed through the town. The river itself, Nokianvirta,
was named after the old Finnish word originally meaning a dark, furry
animal that was locally known as the nokia, or sable, or later
pine marten.

Curtains Down on a Glorious Career

Test captain Anil Kumble announced his decision to retire
from test cricket after the drawn third Test against Australia
in Delhi today.

Anil Radhakrishna Kumble, born on Oct 17, 1970,is without doubt
India's greatest bowler of all time -
not only in terms of wickets but also by being a member of the
winning team on more occasions than any other bowler in the
history of Indian cricket. He started off as a medium-pacer,
later became the world class leg-spinner that he is..
He made his debut in England in 1990.

He is the only bowler other than Jim Laker to take 10 wickets
in an innings, a feat not easy to achieve.

He is the third highest wicket taker in the history of Test Cricket.
Inaddition to his 619 test wickets,he has taken 337 ODI wickets as
well.He also has a hundred to his credit.

Kumble was the main weapon with which India over the years
created a fortress in India.India won most of the home series
during Kumble's illustrious career.Towards the end of his career
he played a big part in many of India's outstanding overseas test
wins, which would have given him immense satisfaction.

All through his career, his humility, simplicity, dedication stands out...

What more tribute he can have than what his fellow cricketers said
about him..

Sachin Tendulkar described Anil Kumble as a great player and said
that he will be an inspiration for generations to come.
"It's truly an honour and privilege to have played in the same era.
He will remain an inspiration for the next generations. To become
another Anil Kumble one will have to work really, really hard,"
he said.

Tendulkar recalled a match in Antigua when Kumble came into the
match with his jaw in bandage and got Brian Lara out.

"This is one match I can't forget," he said to emphasise that Kumble
had a "big heart". "He is one sportsperson who has a big heart".
"I have not come across a greater cricketer, who is good so dedicated
to his work," he added.

Rahul Dravid, Kumble's predecessor as Indian captain and his statemate
from Karnataka, described the leg-spinner as the country's greatest
cricketer.

"He is an extraordinary man with extraordinary career. It's been a
privilege to play with him," he said.
"It was emotional for all of us but it's a great time to celebrate
the farewell of one of India's greatest cricketers," he added.

Another former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who would be playing
his last match in Nagpur next week, also echoed similar sentiments
and said Kumble would be missed by the team.

"Anil is probably topmost of all. In that way he will be missed.
I do not think his boots will be easy to fill. It will take quite
some time.

Talking about a few memorable moments, he shared with Kumble, Ganguly
said, "His coming out to bowl today despite the injury, taking that
catch yesterday with 11 stitches in his hand and the hundred he
scored at The Oval, there are lots of them. He is very special,"
he said.

Chief selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth summed up the reactions,
saying he was an extraordinary cricketer and a role model not
only for youngsters but also for future generations.

"He must have decided (to retire) during the course of the day.
He spoke to me during tea time and said that he has decided to
call it quits. It's the end of an era," he said.

"A lot of players in the team, I cannot tell you the names,
were in tears when he told them his
decision.

"It was an emotional moment for the team and me. He was an
extraordinary cricketer, a great role model, not only for the
youngsters but also for the future generations," Srikkanth
said.

Former India captain Kapil Dev described Kumble as a "true
gentleman" and a "true fighter".
"Anil Kumble is a true fighter, always had this never-say-die
attitude and is thoroughly a true gentleman," Kapil said.

"He never got involved in any controversy and whatever he did
he did it to the best of his abilities," he said adding that he
is "great ambassador of cricket,"he added.

Australian skipper Ricky Ponting lauded Kumble, saying that he
was proud to have played against a celebrated opponent like him.

"I would like to congratulate Anil for his long and successful
career. He is a great competitor and every single player of my
team, who has played against him, is proud of the cricketer,"

Ponting said after the third Test, which ended in a draw at the
Ferozeshah Kotla ground here on Sunday.

"I wish he will enjoy his time after the game," Ponting added.

Meanwhile, Kapil rubbished suggestions that there was pressure on
Kumble to quit.

"I think it is time when we talk about what he has done for the
country. He played the game most professionally."

On the void which will be created by Sourav Ganguly and Kumble's
exit, Kapil said one will have to wait and see what the future has
in store.

Legendary off-spinner EAS Prasanna described Kumble as one of the
finest spinners that India produced.

"He is a thorough gentleman, very strong minded, man of integrity
and one not to be influenced by external forces," Prasanna said.

"I think he pre-poned his decision in view of his injury problem,"
the 68-year-old spinner said.

Former Australian captain Allan Border said the Kumble's decision
has come as a shock to him and described it as a sad day for Indian
cricket.

"He is a fantastic a cricketer and a human being who played his
game in the right spirit throughout his career. It is a sad day
for Indian cricket. It actually came as a shock to us. We will
have to wait and watch, how India copes up without Kumble,"
he said.

Echoing the sentiment, another ex-Aussie captain Ian Chappell said
the void left by Kumble would be hard to fill.

"It is very difficult for somebody to get into his shoes. He is a
cricketer who never compromised his dignity and always played with
determination," he said.

Former Indian all-rounder Ravi Shastri felt the timing of Kumble's
retirement is just perfect but the champion bowler would be missed.

"Kumble was a real, out and out professional. It is definitely a
sad day for Indian cricket. You won't realise the impact of his
retirement now but when you won't hear his name after some days,
you will his void," he said.

"He decided to retire absolutely at the right time. A few days back
I wrote in a column that you don't have to tell Kumble when to retire
because being a true gentleman he knows when to take the call."

"Kumble left the game with utmost respect. He showed his true
sportsmanship in Australia," he added.

Ex-India stumper Syed Kirmani said Kumble has been an exceptional
servant of the game.
"It is the right time for him to retire, the best time that Kumble
would have looked for. He has done a great job for India and is
leaving on a high," he said.

"He has made his debut under me in the state. He has been a
dedicated,sincere, honest,disciplined and good thinking and a
great champion cricketer and on the basis on these I can say
that I have literally seen him grow and establish himself as a
icon and a legendary cricketer both on the field and off it,"
he added.

Former pacer Madan Lal, who was part of the 1983 World Cup winning
team, said he was surprised by Kumble's decision and did not expect
him to retire in the middle of the ongoing Test series against Australia.

"It has taken me by surprise. He could have played the Nagpur Test and
could have gone after winning the series against Australia or even after
the England series. It is a difficult decision for any player and he has
taken it.

"Nobody is going to be his successor, no one can replace Kumble.
He is one of the finest leg-spinners in the world. Over the years
he had developed variety in his bowing by working hard.
I rate him very high," Madan Lal said.

Lal, however, also refused to believe that it was pressure by media
and the experts of the game that forced Kumble to quit.

"I do not think it was because of any sort of pressure.
Media is going to be with you every time.

If your play well they will praise you and they will criticise
you if you play badly. And I think, Kumble has taken it well in
his stride. At the end of the day he is a gentleman," he said.

Former Test cricketer and Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh was
also of the view that Kumble was not the one to take decision
"under any kind of pressure".

For a person like me,who has not
seen an Indian test team without Kumble
(instances when he was injured excluded),
there are no words to describe Kumble's performances
over the years..He has been simply amazing.
Let's all wish him a happy life ahead..
Thanks a lot Sir...

Also read below a report from timesofIndia:-

As Anil Kumble ended his 18 long years of illustrious career, the outgoing India captain didn't forget the practice he has followed at his favourite venue Ferozeshah Kotla for the last nine years.

When Kumble came out to bowl for the last time on Sunday, Sachin Tendulkar walked up to him to take his cap and give it to the umpire. An emotional Kumble told him "one last time" to end the tradition that started in 1999 when the leg-spinner bagged a 'Perfect 10' in an innings against Pakistan.

In what started as a good-luck charm became a tradition which the two stalwarts always maintained whenever they played at the Kotla.

And on Sunday, it was indeed an emotional moment for the two, as Tendulkar took Kumble's cap one last time.

"Today when he took the cap, I said to him, 'one last time'. It all started here in 1999 when he took the cap from me and said you'll get a wicket this over. That continued till today but unfortunately I didn't get a wicket in the last hour," an emotional Kumble said as he bid adieu to international cricket.

His sudden decision took the cricketing fraternity by surprise and also nothing could have been arranged by the Indian cricket board to give a fitting farewell to a great cricketer, who showed extraordinary courage and commitment on the field.

A good Sunday crowd went numb when the two giant screens flashed a one-liner saying "Anil Kumble has decided to retire after this match and will not travel to Nagpur for the final Test," but soon raised slogans hailing Kumble.

But Kumble remained unmoved. Whether it was bowling with a broken jaw in 2002 or with 11 stitches on his little left finger, he has always been a fighter and lived up to it even in his last outing.

Kumble was given a huge standing ovation when he led the team for the last time on to the field in the second innings. His team mates cheered him and the Australians patted him.

When he came out to face the media sporting the faded India cap, he looked emotional and despite so many achievements over the years he stood with all humility.

"This cap means a lot to me. I've cherished this cap. It's a very proud privilege to have got this. I know how hard I had to fight to get this cap and how hard it is to play at the international level. It's a proud moment to represent a billion people whose expectations keep rising each time you go out there," he said.

"It's not easy to satisfy all those people who are watching. But I'd like to thank all those people for the affection they have showered on me and the Indian cricket team. There have been tough times and rough moments, we have given the fans some sad moments and sorrow, too, but we've also given them happiness."

Even on his last day on the field he tried to be a fighter, but felt that the energy has waned with time.

"I fought that, I took various painkillers and tried all sorts of things, but ultimately the injury to the hand said 'enough now.' It was the right time to move on," were his last few words sporting the India cap.

J&K better than PoK, say Euro MPs

This was a News Report in ExpressIndia edition on Apr 09, 2008..
Pakistan always wanted the global community to interfere in Kashmir...
Not heard a response from pakis on this yet..
They might have rejected it..But hope they understands what the world
community thinks about J&K...

"
Prominent Members of European Parliament (MEP) have come down heavily on the Pakistan government for 'lack of democracy and development' in Gilgit and Baltistan areas of Pak-occupied Kashmir.

While Pakistan was seeking self-determination in Jammu and Kashmir, "it was not even prepared to allow democracy on its side of the border," Baronness Emma Nicholson MEP said at a two-day international conference on 'Constitutional, Political and Socio-economic conditions of Gilgit Baltistan' at the European Parliament in Brussels on Tuesday.

Nicholson, who represents the Liberal Democratic Party, had authored a report on the "suppression of human rights" in the Northern Areas of PoK which was adopted by the European Parliament in 2007.

Participating in the conference, another MEP Geoffrey van Orden said while there had been extensive political and economic development in the Indian side of J&K, this was 'totally lacking' in PoK.

Charles Tannock, MEP from the UK, drew a sharp contrast between India and Pakistan in terms of economic development and democracy, while UNPO chief Marino Musdaschin said there could be no progress on Kashmir "till the initiation of full political process in PoK".

The conference was also attended by several other MEPs, NGO representatives and leaders of the International Kashmir Alliance (IKA).

IKA General Secretary Shaukat Ali Kashmiri wanted the European Parliament to set up a fact-finding mission on the ground realities in the Gilgit and Baltistan region and other parts of the PoK. He also sought starting of a bus service between Gilgit-Baltistan in PoK and Ladakh as part of Indo-Pak confidence-building measures.

Our Country is going through one of her most difficult times...
Communal violences,clashes of regionalism,terrorism,increased corruption;
the list goes on.....

*)
Almost daily protests in Kashmir...Led by the traitors of hurriat conference..
Why can't we be,for GOD's sake be, ruthless with traitors..??
Why is our security personnel giving security to a traitor like
syed ali shah geelani, who openly says he is a pakistani..
but when it comes to his health, geelani goes to Delhi's best hospital
for treatment..
he shamelessly takes the monthly pension given to him by the Indian govt..
Why on earth we are giving a traitor pension????????????
he addresses, through phone, rallies organised by terrorist organizations
in pakistan, attacks India whenever he opens that golden mouth of his..
Openly supports terorists...!!!!
It's umimaginable....surely...no country ..except India would have shown
soooo much tolerance....
But this is not tolerance....this is foolishness....

*)
Increasing incidents of paki terrorists trying to cross over to India to
forment trouble here..why can't we deal firmly with pak..
if we are unable to make them desist from sending terrorists to our country..
better to pay back...through our own RAW..

*)
Thackeray gondaas raj/bal/udhav's dangerous vote bank politics, attacking

resulting in hatred for people of Maharastra among people of Bihar,UP...
Mr.Raj should open his eyes and read the newspapers..there is a news

seems to be in response of attacks on north Indians in Maharastra..
there is a definite backlash in the making...

*)
See what's happening in Orissa...naxalism,conversion and communal politics

Innocent people are suffering..made home-less..killed...

*)
Look at the politicians of Tamil Nadu...
They r playing vote bank politics..
how can they possibly ask the Indian Govt to stop Sri lanka from
destroying LTTE??
Sri lanka is a soverign country..
These TN politicians are only worried about Sri lankan Tamils' sufferingss??
Are they not worried about other suffering people the world over..
Are they not worried about people suffering in India..

We Indians should see to it that first and foremost LTTE is destroyed forever..
After all, that terrorist organization killed one of our former PM..
We should equally be concerned about the plight of suffering srilankans..
surely it's not only sri lankan tamils who are suffering from the war there..
We should help in all humanitarian ways to end sufferings..
That's all India can do..Issuing threats won't help..
After all sri lanka is not part of India....!!!

*)
Blasts in many states Gujarat,Delhi,Karnataka,Maharastra,
Rajastan,Assam etc..
blasts in places of worship, trains, crowded market places etc...
aimed solely at mass killing of innocent civilians...
earlier it was islamic terrorist organisations...
now it seems hindu terrorist organisations are also there...!!!
more and more evidence of local involvement by our own fellow
citizens in terror related activities...
even some muslims from Kerala went to Kashmir to fight for
pakis cause...!!!

After every blast Mr.Shivraj Patil ,a politician who lost the last
Lok Sabha election, who is unfortunately our Home Minister only
because he is a kitchen cleaner at Sonia Gandhi's Bunglow, comes
out with dialogues like we are studying the situation, culprits
will be punished...etc etc..
Is the Congress, which had leaders of the stature of The Mahatma,
Sardar Patel etc.,so devoid of leaders that this man is given such an
important portfolio??

The prime Minister who is actually a good person is rarely seen in the media..
The prime Minister is supposed to talk to the Nation during difficult times..
He should be trying to lift the spirits of the Nation at those times..
Could be the aftermath of a blast ..or during a communal violence..
A sort of a healing touch...
But Mr.Manmohan Singh, who has not won an election during his entire
political career, seems to be very reluctant..God knows why....
Is he afraid of Sonia Gandhi??
She seems to support him all the way though..
So what's our PM's reluctance to assume leadership mean..!!!

Congress has ruled the country for the most part after Independence...
They are the original creators of the concept of 'vote bank' politics in
this Country, which is the primary cause of all the ills facing us..

INDIA..and INDIANS are crying out for a dynamic leader...a visionary...

Let's see whether there are any alternatives..
Let's look at the opposition...Leader of Opposition Advani..?
Can he handle the situation better??
He was the home Minister and Deputy PM when so many blasts happened
during NDA rule..
He also had the rare distinction of being the Home Minister of a Govt
which released and escorted hard-core terrorists to Afganistan.
One of the terrorists released then is the head of jaish-e-muhammed,now
one of the most dreaded terrorist organisations.
Most importantly,he is part of a party which thrives on divide-and-rule
policy..
Most of the communal violences and genocides that occured in this Country
can be attributed to his party and its sister organizations like rss, vhp,
bajrang dal etc etc..
Mr advani is directly responsible for the death of many many fellow Indians
as a result of his politics of hatred and his rath yatras..

Look for other alternatives;parties,politicians....

Take the left parties. They r chinese pimps..
According to them India should not have anything to do with America..
America is out to make India a slave--according to the great lefties..

Indian navy/army/airforce should not conduct joint exercises with
their American counterparts;reason--it's part of America's plan to
include India in it's global hegamonistic designs..!!

India should not try to get the nuclear energy and dual purpose materials
ban lifted ,just because it's America who is helping India do so with the
nuclear deal..and also because china opposed the deal..
May be left fears that India could overtake China..
They have no problem and they conviniently forgets the fact that china
also had almost the similar sort of nuclear deal with America..
Infact it seems India got a far better deal...
thefunny thing is even though the lefties are strong opponents of
anything American, left ministers from kerala go to America for
treatment and to bring so-called investments(other word for
investment trip is family leisure trip)...!!
The history of left parties in India is an irony in itself..
They opposed computers when it was first introduced in India..
Now most of the left leaders might be having a laptop or atleast a
PC in their offices..
They opposed self-financing colleges in Kerala...their students'
organizations disrupted studies with or without reasons...
The amazing fact is,most of these left leaders had their children
studying in self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka..
safe from the disruptions in studies ...
One more point to add....when they came to power in Kerala...
they had no shame in allowing opening of self-financing colleges....
How much they pocketed from the management gurus..God knows...
That's about the left...
Instances of their doublestandards and double speak are legendary...

Now think of leaders from other parties...
Take UP CM Mayawati...Her main hobby is building her own statues and
garlanding them..
she thinks she is a living legend..
Coming from a humble background, her assets are now valued in crores..!
Her mantra is 'I want to be the Prime Minister of India'..
This she utters whenever she gets a chance..
We Indians,Indian voters won't be that stupid hopefully...!!

Other leaders like mulayam, lalu, gowda, pawar and sundry.....all...
all are vote bank centric politicians..
They all care (do they care??) only about their vote bank...
Regional parties are like the "frog in the well" and national
parties are afraid of those frogs eating into their vote banks;
nobody thinks about the Nation..

There seems to be negativity every where right now in our Country..
Some sort of a darkness...
Is there light at the end of the tunnel..?? Or as somebody said
"is that light that of a fast incoming train that's going to
run over us all"..??
These are very depressing times for our Country for sure...

Let's all pray to GOD;Let our Motherland rise like a pheonix;
Have faith,we will be able to tackle all these problems..
Hope GOD,almighty gives us the strength,the will-power,the
intelligence, the methods to make our Country stronger, greater
and prosperous..
Let's fight, terrorism,regionalism,communalism,favouritism,
corruption and all other ills plaguing our GREAT country,TOGETHER..
Else we all are doomed...

Let's all think of positive ways to make our Country stronger..
and try and implement them...

Even with the problems we are facing we are making lot of progress
in all fields..
An Indian continues to be on top of the world in Chess..
India started dominating the Aussies in cricket...
Have a look at the success of our Moon mission..
Have a look at India's increasing global presence..
There are lots and lots of other positives out there...
If only we could solve our problems and concentrate on Nation
building,we could be an even greater NATION..
A SUPER POWER.......at that...
